[The Ascent] Cant connect to my friends nor can they connect to me

If I have to list all the things I've tried I think I would hit some kind of character limit, so I will generalize and say that I tried every "standard" microsoft solution ranging from doing stuff to the xbox app to my account configuration, I even took a peek into reddit and tried some unofficial "fixes" like disabling v-ethernet but nothing.

Hopefully I can shed some light on your issue, I personally have played the ascent, on console.

Me and some of my friends where having similar issues with connecting to each other, I can't say for sure but I believe it to be an issue with the game since it is brand new.

I would like to mention however that the game did have a 5+Gb update on console within the last 24 hours.

If possible could you update your game, if you have not already, and check if the problem still persists.

(Edit) I just had a check on reddit regarding the new update to the game, though the developers have yet to release the patch notes for this update, it does appear that other players are also having issues with coop.

It should be automatic and there may be an in-game option that you need to get checked first with the game support.

yes its happening with only this game BUT as I said earlier , when I opened the game for the first time that window where it asks you if this is your profile and you click on "Lets Play" NEVER showed up, as far as my understanding goes this is like an "activation" for that game on that account. I am looking for a way to force that window to show up

Seems like you have tried all the necessary steps and in this case, it would be best to reach out to the game support in that way they can check and validate this for you.
