    'The app can't be opened'


    2 months ago I bought a gaming PC and I was able to install and play Gears of War 4 with ease via Play Anywhere. Today, I tried to revisit GoW4 on my PC but I keep getting this error. 'The app can't be opened. Please visit the Windows
    Store for more info about Gears of war 4.' My Operating System is fully updated as well as my Nvidia drivers. Is there anything I can do? ReCore works fine but CupHead (which recently came out) doesn't.

    I preordered Cuphead so I was able to install it on my Xbox One as well as Windows 10. Today, I tried to play Cuphead on my PC but I keep getting this error. 'The app can't be opened. Please visit the Windows Store for more info about Cuphead.' My Operating
    System is fully updated as well as my Nvidia drivers. Is there anything I can do? ReCore works fine but none of my other Play anywhere titles do.

    Hi,

    To properly isolate your case, let us gather the following details:

    • 1. Are you getting any error messages?
    • 2. Is this issue happening with other apps as well?
    • 3. Have you made any changes on the device prior to this concern?

    We recommend running the troubleshooter for Windows apps that may help resolve any issues when launching or accessing an application on Windows 10. To proceed, click this

    link     and follow the onscreen prompts.

    If it still persists, you may reset the Windows Store Cache. Kindly perform the following steps:

    1. Press the Win+R keys to open the Run dialog box.

    2. Type WSReset.exe and click OK.

    3. The Windows Store and a command prompt will now open without any message. The command prompt will automatically close after the Store's cache has been reset.

    Also, make sure to
    check for updates for apps and games for Windows Store     and the
    status of Xbox Live     for any service alerts.

    Open Accounts
    Click Sign-in Options
    Scroll down to Privacy
    Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."
