The american Xbox 360 games can be read in a european console?

Hi

I have a question, I will move to Switzerland and I don't know if my Xbox 360 games can be read in a diferent regional console in Switzerland.

Is that possible? Or I have to buy new games in that country?

I'm planning to buy MS points..but there's a problem -,-

I'm planning to buy Microsoft points but actually I don't know what should I get European or American....

Some People say "look at your game Cover at the Top right under the Xbox 360 Banner you're gonna see a small box written inside of it PAL or NTSC if it's PAL then it's european and if it's NTSC then it's American"....Well mine is PAL > European

and Other People say " go buy Microsoft points from your Xbox 360 Console and then you're gonna see list of Microsoft Points Prices...if you see i.e. $9.99 then you get American and if it's in Euro mark "€" then you get European...Mine is "$" which means
American......

Complicated....my games are PAL and my Shop Currency is U.S Dollar "$"?!?!?!?!?!!?!

how weird ...could you please help me..

Hello,

Xbox 360's purchased in the United States are NTSC (North American), depending on the game if it's Japanese for example it would be NTSC-J which is not compatible with North American consoles. This all depends on the game, some Japanese import titles are region
free and will work on both NTSC and PAL consoles (North American and European).

There's a comprehensive list of games here and you can see if they will be region free or not, if it's not region free they will not work
on your American console.

yeah, i heard it was coming to ps+ in february too, but will it be for the american or european version? i ask because i read in the same article bioshock infinite was mentioned, but the american ps+ got it this week...

Hi Alena,

Xbox 360 games have region coding. Some games will only work in the regions that they were purchased from. It seems that this game you purchased can only be played on North American consoles (NTSC) which are generally sold in the United States/Canada. Unfortunately,
you won't be able to play this game using that console since your console is more than likely PAL or European based.
