the "A" button does not work at random times only outside of a game

I am just posting to see if anyone else has had this issue.

At random times, the "A" button will not select the icon on the dashboard or other out of game menus. You can see the icon blink that it is sensing the click of the "A" button but nothing happens. I thought that it might need an update to the controller
but it was updated. So I bought a new controller and updated it and it does the same thing at random times. If you can get it to launch the game, the "A" button works just fine. I only experience this outside of the game. If you reboot the Xbox one or clear
cache, it sometimes will work fine for a random amount of time. Nothing seems to be a permanent fix. Anyone have an idea I might have missed?

Sorry to hear about the button issue! I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps if you haven't already, just to make sure that we have covered everything:

First, make sure that your controllers have been updated .

Once you have made sure that you controllers have been updated, remove the batteries from your controller and replace them with fresh batteries.

Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.

Once your console has powered off, unplug the power cord.

Wait a few minutes and then plug in your console.

Power on your console and check to see if the issue is continuing to occur

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try power cycling the console down again and unplug everything from it and let it sit for 5 minutes? Maybe it just needs a little more time.

Cycling down or just restarting the xbox seems to do the same. Sometimes either one will work then other times when the system restarts, there is no effect and I have to cycle or just restart over and over until it works.

If you have purchased the game from outside the console, try the display new items button in ready to install. If this does not work or if the button is not present, make sure that the option on the upper right corner is set to ALL.

I have a random question about vampires. Does any vampire in the game go out during the day other than Alva? Or is she the only vampire that is interacted with outside of their particular dungeon? She was always swanning around Morthal during the day.
