    The 5/9/2017 XBOX ONE Update Destroyed My Console


    The XBOX ONE update today destroyed my console. First, the system acted as if it was going to download, install, and apply the update and then WHAM! UPDATE LOOP!

    I then reset the console, telling the machine to keep my games and apps...

    After the reboot, all of the network hardware (wireless adapter, and ethernet adapter) both fried!!!

    THANKS MICROSOFT! Really love ya'll for this one!

    Creators Update     and has already rolled out to some members of the
    Xbox Insider Program    .

    Ryse DLC Won't Stay Installed

    Same issue, I can confirm removal and re-installation was ineffective: other game selected for this troubleshooting (Gears of War 4) was successfully re-installed with all add-ons. Factory reset with 'keep games and apps' also failed to work.

    My console is an Xbox One Elite, running latest updates as of 6/9/2017: zero hardware modifications.
