Okay, bstn, I see what you mean. Still, that kind of makes this a comparison thread (which is against the rules) that he used to bait you into (which is also against the rules) and it apparently worked. Don't let others manipulate you like that.

 

It's just info @GalacticGeek I would like to think that gamers would like to know how things work on the other side that's all. I am just sharing information and a certain few people on this forum just want to have a fight about everything. Then I get my
self banned.

Your right they do manipulate me but I can't help it somebody calls me out and I have no choice but to respond. I will say next time I get banned I will never post again.

 

Wait wait not saying gamer score means nothing but it's not the end all. I've been with xbox a long time but my gamer score kinda sucks because I personally don't care about achievements.

 

Merlin I agree it means nothing but it allows people who want to play detective to go look at the date stamps and see how long you have been using the console for and the on line achievements show that this account was gold for years that's all.

I am not looking down on a low gamerscore. Not at all.

 

Bstn, although I appreciate your input regarding the competition, if anyone here wants to know about it, I'm sure they'll go to the other console's forums or other more appropriate sites rather than look here - people come here to discuss and learn about
the Xbox consoles, features, accesories, games, apps, and online service.

As for when people call you out, you do have a choice - you can choose not to respond. If you respond and do so in a negative way, you're only helping the other person "win" by causing a disruption on the forums. Don't respond, they can't win, and you don't
get banned. It's a win-win for you.

 

Oh I agree with you merlin it isn't anything particularly important I don't hunt for achieves and you will only find 1 or 2 games above 50% on my account, but when you have someone with 16k calling out another who has over three times there gs a Sony fanboy
it just looks wrong and is obvious who's put more into xbox divisions pockets.

How was he baited? I make a conscious effort to use "other system" so some on here don't get riled up. bstn617 even left a helpful reply to use the Mic to try voice controls on this "other system"; sure he can come off negative sometimes, but his original
post here wasn't.

I have multiple systems and do appreciate feedback/comparisons if they're done in a constructive way; and I'm sure there are others that feel the same way, even if they don't post here. I also would say since this is xbox.com, topics should be mainly focused
on...X Box. Lol.

Some people take things way to seriously on here (Disclaimer: This is not intended to single anyone person(s) out.). Shouldn't this be a fun way to pass the time and share ideas?

Im glad you like it. I think the new Kinect is terrible. The voice and motion commands are too awkward and better left to the control pad. The game selection for it is absolutely pitiful. Kinect Sports is about the only thing of some interest, yet this new
one looks half-hearted at best. Heck, they even loaded it up with day one DLC to match its lack of content. I'll wait for this one to hit $20. Im sorry to say, but the Kinect is killing the system. They forced a pack in that few wanted and it put the price
of the system up too high. Its so pathetic they even force you to use it if you want to use the video editor. Please ditch the Kinect MS and give the suckers that were forced to buy one a free game or 2 as an apology. Maybe they can even give em $100 back
in credit if they send their Kinect back to them. This truly pains me since I enjoyed the original Kinect so much.

 

The Kinect is an impressive piece of kit. I've seen quite a few people complain about voice commands, but for me it works most the time. It understands me just fine, but it struggles to understand my girlfriend's accent. Then
again she does have a Northern English accent, so..

I was anti-Kinect at first, didn't want one. I had no interest in the Kinect, but after playing around with one I changed my tune. Now, I love the damn thing. It makes my experience that little bit easier.

 

Ahh, the old "I was forced to buy it" line......

 

So OP, what we are saying in this thread is that MS has gone out this time with making a console that isn't actually for gamers. Well done

 

Odd...I seem to play games on the X1 just fine, and it's my most used system at the present time.

Just out of curiosity, what is your definition of "gamer"? It wouldn't be the stereotypical jobless loser that lives in mom's basement smoking illegal substances and eating Cheetos all day...would it? Lol. Most of my personal friends, that like to game,
own multiple systems and are quite pleased with the X1.

^ Definition of gamer? Me. You're allright D33dles, just pointing out the consumer side of this console which is seeming more important then the gamer side.

I believe M.S. will be more game focused at this years E3. I like that consoles do more than gaming; I've had a headache all day, and spent most of it watching Twitch feeds of Child Of Light on the other system.

Some people will embrace the Kinect, others not so much. If someone buys a system because of it's non-gaming abilities, it's still a console sold, with the possibility of that consumer buying games; and that is good for us that play them.
