The console, for the two weeks out of three months it was even plugged, was dusted before and after using it, and was atop a small furniture with around 20 centimeters of clearance on the top, full clearance on the sides and 15 centimeters of clearance
on the back.

It still jammed.

 

Dusting before and after was a good start...though not having a Catholic priest bless it every time it was turned on, or sacrificing a goat after, seems to be a error on your part.

 

As you keep saying that I don't take care of the console and I'm too stupid to use it, how do manage, smart guys, to do it on your side ?

What kind of superintelligence and superelite skills allow you to play for it for hours a day without having any problem ?

 

Plug it into a power socket, hook it up to your tv, turn on, insert disc.

OP is just running in a VERY stubborn circle.

Bought a possibly defective product and refuses to do anything about it.

he stated jammed, he probably got one where the retailer or the delivery from wholesaler to store dropped or knocked it in transit and it basically broke the disc drive, hence why it wont play dvd also.

 

The O.P. states he bought the X Box in November. Maybe he didn't buy it new; open box with no return? Had a guy at work complain about M.S. and their "defective" 360 consoles years back, and as it turns out the several "new" consoles he purchased were from
Craigslist. I guess they were new to him.

 

The DVD issues is not universal I play DVDs on my XB1 on a regular basis. It does indeed sound like a warranty issues.

 

I bought a new TiVo mini the other day and guess what I saw when I opened the box? One of the batteries had leaked even though they were still wrapped in plastic. And guess what brand they were? Yup, Duracell. I think I'll go to the TiVo forums now and
raise some hell about their faulty product. Or do I need to let it sit around for 8 months first because I'm scared to use it? I'm confused on the exact protocol here...

^Maybe if you waited 9 months, you'd have some baby AAA batteries that would grow into AA's? It's only 1 more month...
