  1. that feature under Manage how you sign in to Microsoft - Account aliases and add phone...

I was able to add account aliases emails like my gmail, but that add phone number doesn't call my home hardline phone at all if it should, the part where after you enter your phone number, to enter the code, doesn't work because our phone doesn't get a call, it maybe because my parents this year just got phones that have a smart block feature to keep the spammers or scammers to block there numbers' basicly if the phone number doesn't display who's calling then the number gets blocked, but after I enter area code and phone number it didn't ring at home at all, we have AT&T Uverse Internet and phone provider at home, I wanted to report that there a problem entering our local phone number into the Account Aliases, not sure I really want or need that feature, but stuff like that new Microsoft Bing Rebates doesn't work without the phone number under that, it's in my account still since I do have a Xbox Series X and I use and get bing rewards to my xbox console without no problems, also use the bing rewards app on my xbox to unlock the microsoft gift card just fine without the phone number, I don't think our older phones had a problem but the new ones don't seem to work with the web pages like

Bing Rebates does not work without the phone but phone calls from the web seem to get block, or they never reach our internet phone provider which is AT&T based. about that amount it says its pending for 9/22/2022 but to be exact I would rather have bing rebates send it to my xbox balance for add that .37 cent to the next digital video game I unlock in the future, I don't see any point in sending it to a paypal account, I would prefer it directs it to my xbox account for video games, on my new console, I just got the series x console this summer, for new games being released on it.

    https://account.live.com/names/manage?uaid= website for it etc...

under Microsoft account | Address book it still has my home phone number under that in the Address information under Preferred billing info and Preferred shipping address it has the correct information for our phone number, but again under that account aliases it cannot add the phone number to it, and I think that Bing Rebates, only have $0.37 and if you click on get paid it wants a PayPal account which I don't have anyway, I just use my xbox balance for games and movies, not really into getting an paypal account for bing rebates that, I really don't have any need for a paypal account or do I want one. but I wanted to report this matter if anyone else can't use that, again I don't care how much or I don't even know where that .37 cent came from getting xbox games ? is my only guess, otherwise I don't see myself using that feature, but again I was wondering why they added a feature that doesn't seem to work, since that Add a phone number doesn't work since it says it sent the code to our phone, but no phone call seems to come in, I don't know if its like that bing rewards unlock phone feature we get once and awhile when trying to unlock xbox gift card and you need to either use the xbox app to bypass that or on my pc enter the code that feature was working last time I tried to get a phone call to unlock gift cards for my xbox console, but again that new Transfer cash option is not working for our phones, I think I explained this to the point I can't write anything new about the problem with it, I only wanted to report this matter in case it effects anything else new about bing rewards or stuff to do with our xbox accounts.

Transfer cash to your PayPal account

You don't have a phone number yet. Add a phone number

I don't know if it's common for that add phone number feature not to work for people, or if that's for a cell phone not a "Hard line" phone system if our internet phone system is under that or not, since it's also a part of the internet router, that if that goes down so does our phones at home, like during power outages we don't have internet or phone system working unless my dad turns on our home gas generator during long power outages, otherwise we don't have working cell phones here since I live in a rural area of California but my parents do own cell phones they just don't get very good bars at home in any case, I don't have acces to a cell phone, just the hard phone line for me to use like when needed for bing rewards to unlock them which seems to get unlock using the xbox rewards app does not need the phone number yet to work with that feature on my xbox series x system. also, I was not sure what area to put this matter under if it should be Products like Bing, just not sure or if this is an account management matter, going to just post this under account management for now, I think. if this should be under Bing matter because it effects stuff like that new bing rebates program anyway, I was not sure which to post this as a question, but I am not sure what Products my question needs to be under, if this problem can be fixed. Anyway since getting that smart phone blocking numbers our family has had less spam callers, but again not sure if it also effects stuff like my topic above or if something else if going on with it at this time?

    :)

    Xbox Play Anywhere Question (Accounts)

    You have several options:

You could add a new user on your PC that uses the same email as your Xbox.

    or

Add an additional email to your Microsoft account.

An account alias is an email address or phone number that you use to sign in to your Microsoft account. You can have multiple aliases, and use any of them with Microsoft services such as Outlook.com, Skype, OneDrive, Office, Xbox, Windows and more.

Your account's primary alias is displayed on your Microsoft devices (such as a Windows PC, Xbox, or Windows Phone), and you can choose a different alias to be the primary one at any time.

    - Go to Microsoft.com and sign in with the account you want to use (xbox or windows). Go to your account, Your Info, Manage how you sign into Microsoft, add the additional email.

    Hope that helped!

Cannot change the email address associated with my Xbox Live Account

if its a gamertag you don't need, then you can fix this by signing into account.live.com using the email that you actually want on your current gamertag, go to manage aliases (retrieve code if it sends one) click add alias then itll let you create a new
Hotmail or outlook on the top line. create something as a kind of "dummy account" and click make primary. Once that's listed under your aliases as your primary alias you can remove your actual email from the account.

Once that's done, sign out and sign back in using the current email and password on ur current gamertag. go into manage aliases and click add alias. Now you should be able to add your gmail on the bottom line. Itll send a code to verify it once verified,
click make primary and youll b good to go =)

If the gamertag is one youd like to keep, itd probly be easiest to just sign into account.live.com with the sign in email and password currently set up on your gamertag and under manage aliases, create a new Hotmail or outlook to use and click make primary.

unable to fully log into xbox live account after changing primary microsoft email address

Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account

It is a multi step process.

You can use any email address or phone number you've listed as a username to sign in to your Microsoft account. If you want to sign in with a specific one or change the one you're signing in with, here's how:

    1. Sign in to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft with your Microsoft
account. If you’re having issues signing in to your Microsoft account, go to Microsoft account help.

      Note

You may be prompted to enter your Microsoft account password, or to enter a code sent to the email address or phone number listed in your account's security information. By providing this info to us, we know the request is coming from you.
    2. If you want to use an existing email address or phone number, go to step 6. If you're adding a new email address or phone number, go to step 3.
    3. If you selected Add a phone number, go to step 5. If you selected Add email, choose whether to add:
      • A new email address. Select Create a new email address and add it as an alias, and then follow the instructions.
      • A non-Microsoft email address (such as an @gmail.com or @yahoo.com email address). Select Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias, and then select Add alias.
    4. After you've added the email address, you'll be asked to verify that you're the account owner:
      1. Select Verify next to the new alias. A message is sent to the account for verification.
      2. After you receive the message, select the included link to confirm that you own the account.
    5. If you selected Add a phone number, follow these steps:
      1. Select your country from the list.
      2. Enter the phone number you want to use, and then select Next.
      3. When you add a new phone number, we'll send a text message to that number to verify it. Enter the code in the text message, and then select Next.
    6. Under Sign-in preferences, select Change sign-in preferences.
    7. Either select the check boxes next to the aliases you want to use to sign in, or clear the check boxes for the aliases that you don’t want to use to sign in, and then select Save.
