That empty feeling...

I am starting to feel about Titanfall the way I felt about Battlefield... a bit empty... I only play as a single... on gamemodes like Domination, which Titanfall seems built around, it's very difficult for a single player to have a meaningful impact on the
game as a whole... I can have a great game, or a terrible game... and the win/loss still feels like it is out of my control... I had hoped that the novelty of Titans would invigorate my interest in the game, but even Titan combat is lacking satisfaction...
99% of the time the opposing player ejects and goes invisible before his Titan is destroyed, and you rarely get that kill... or your lone Titan will be surrounded by three enemy Titans and you die without a chance of survival... I played Titanfall for two
hours, slogging through various game modes... all meh... switched back to Ghosts for two hours and felt the thrill of the kill again... That last guy that killed me, I know how to get back to him, what his gameplan is, etc... there just seems to be more satisfaction
in a COD kill than a Titanfall kill, for whatever reason... and that's why I play FPS games, for that man on man kill or be killed vibe... just hard to find it in Titanfall... am I the only one?

This is a problem now even for the patched version. I have been playing Dark Souls,on disc, for the past several months, and in 2 days it has gone from flourishing to ghost town.

Odd. Does the online population depend on region or is it worldwide?

 

Sounds like you need some communication and more time with it. I wasn't satisfied with Titanfall the first couple hours I played, then once I joined up with some buddies and unlocked some better items, utilized burn cards and caught on to other players
play style, I started enjoying it and now I can get those satisfying kills.

 

I've played both sides of the campaign and am at level 40... more than a couple of hours played... still not feeling it...

 

I agree with Oso. This game is way better when playing with friends. Quality game without friends, amazing game with friends.

 

Maybe the game isn't for you. I'm enjoying it.

 

i have to agree, i played solo and with friends still no thrill, we had 11 guys online on Saturday playing ghost and it was a blast, we play hc. tf is a core players wet dream, fast pace , loads of action. as for tactical game play i dont feel it. tf
isnt my cup of tea

 

Surrounded by 3 enemy titans? That's perfect! I fight til the death and then eject and watch my Titan explode and get the kills But yeah, like anything else it may not be for everyone.

 

^learn to use the stryder to perfection you can kill all 3 and walk away smiling still in a titan. But anyway the original first post no this game is based entirely upon attrition hardpoint, CTF, pilot hunter, and last titan standing all just give some variety
but they intended this game to be played as attrition

 

A competitive but fun-loving chatty clan is what you need mate. Brings the game to whole new extreme.

 

I feel ya OP. CoD is my favorite game too. I like the man on man gunbattles, its whats fun for me. BF is great fun too (in TDM for the gunfights) but I dont like vehicle gameplay. TF (the beta) was fun for me, but I dont like the Titan battles as much as
"man to man" gunfights. Play each game for what it is and try to have fun. I will mention the TF gunfights are great, (reminds me of MW2 for some reason) but theres just not enough of it. The Titans come into play too often.

 

it hasn't really satisfied since buying it but then again Xbox one as a whole hasn't lived up to its self promoted hype and neither have the games.

Titan fall is undeserving of the supposed 75 awards it was nominated for.

Thief was mediocre disappointing from Square enix when you compare it previous games they've made like Deus ex.

Ryse graphically looked brilliant and story was great but the game play was a let down.

Battlefield 4 which i still prefer to titan fall hasn't really changed its more or less the same as battlefield 3 just refined .

assassins creed improved in some ways the most obvious being how they expanded on the sailing,

piracy but never made any improvements on the rest of the game play.

the only that i have been satisfied with was dead rising 3 but there are still better zombie slasher games out if your into that kind of thing try state of decay on xbox arcade, graphics are definitely not on the same level but i prefer the game play also
if you play PC games try Day Z =D

 

Hey @LOG HeadhunterX, TEACH ME!!! Lol. I've just been using the Atlas really but may give the Stryder another go.

 

agreed with OP. my friends are pretty much done with TF.. trying to sell me a game for $20 bux... i spent my cash on DS 2 and never look back
