Thank You Xbox for nothing.......

I will start this post by saying that on the week of December 25th Christmas I Received two games downloaded straight to my Xbox One for no reason. At the time i believed they were gifts for us not being able to get on Xbox live at all on Christmas day.
I can now see i was ignorant to believe that. One week ago out of no where the games were removed from my account i went to play them and it said i did not own them even though they were installed on my Xbox One. Also my minecraft which i installed when it
first came out for free since i had the 360 edition was no longer working.

So low and behold what do i do i contact support who spends a whole hour to tell me that i do not own a license to either of the games i told them that had been removed. After that was resolved he also took me through about 20 different steps which included
completely removing my account from the xbox and downloading it again to try and fix minecraft. That took another hour that also did not fix anything. At the end of the conversation i was told that
Mojang would contact me to help me resolve the issue and that he had seen that i have been with xbox for a while now and have not broken any TOU. He said he would make sure that he didnt leave a loyal xbox customer abandoned, and that he had sent
a file in for the compensation team at xbox to look at.

Well number one i never received a call from Mojang .Number Two i ended up having to reinstall minecraft 4 times for it to work. Number three I didnt even recieve an email till almost a week later today at 2:30pm this is the email i reecieved.

This is with regards to the compensation request I created and sent to the Advocacy Team, the request has been declined as there are no proofs that you updated the version of the game on Xbox One as we cannot see here license of the game update on your
account. If you wish to have the game on the Xbox one, you need first to update the game version on the Xbox One console plat form.
1. What game are you even talking about and what the hell do you mean the game isn't updated all games on my Xbox one are fully up to date.
So thank you Xbox thank you for saying screw you to one of your most loyal customers and wasting 2 hours of my life.

Thank you Xbox for the gaming experience. I've been playing for a few years now and have come to realize how unsatisfied I am with this console, the company, the games, and also the community. There is no love shown toward gamers. The games are horrible,
especially the exclusives, and I can't seem to find a game that doesn't revolve around online gaming. On that note the online gaming is also horrible. It's insanely competitive and infuriating. Nobody wants to have fun, everyone on xbox wants to win. I've
wasted a lot of my money on games and accessories that turned out to be a waste. And after everything I stopped playing because of For Honor. Now, all of a sudden, I get banned because of my profile picture WHICH XBOX PROVIDED FOR ME. I am done with this nonsense.
I will never buy another Microsoft product and I will highly recommend my friends and family to go with other products. Thank you Xbox. My gaming experience was absolutely horrible.

Microsoft wouldn't just randomly download anything to your console. If they were sending out a gift, they would send you a message over Live. What more than likely happened is someone else had your console set as their Home console so you downloaded their
games and they were removed when that person changed their Home console. So you did not own those games.

 

Sounds like someone had a pre-owned xbox that was originally someone elses HOME so it had all the licenses. The previous owner must have made a different console their home so you lost the content.

Minecraft was not a free upgrade it was infact a discounted upgrade again I think this must have also belong to a previous owner

 

It sounds like you bought a used Xbox and the previous owner bought a new/different Xbox, once he made that new one his home console, you lost access to the previous games. At least, that's my educated guess on the matter.

There are some big name stores (I won't name) that will re-box returned items, then sell as new. This may have happened with you.

No matter how those games ended up on that console, they were removed because they do not belong on that console, for the reasons you were given above.

 

GameStop, Walmart, Target, etc as Zen Like Calm mentioned, it's common practice for well known stores to rebox and repackage previously purchased items.

Some experienced members posted on the matter. Hard for them to be unanimously wrong.

 

it wouldn't even matter if it was repackaged you guys don't read clearly the games were just added to my Xbox the week of Christmas as in they had never been on there before then.

 

We did read clearly and we told you exactly what could have caused that.

 

I don't see what you have to complain about. Although yes, it stinks that you got to try the two game and then they were taken away, you had not paid for them, so not being able to play them does not hurt you. How and why the games got there, mysteriously
installed without you knowing on a console you have owned for some time before this happened, is the real question.
