Help please i have been feeling my age, I paid for game on Friday via Microsoft store, I had waited for download over 20 hours....can I be assisted as to how I get go at Forza Horizon 3 on my computer I have the folowing note appear when expecting a start:

Good evening,

When I launch Forza 6 I receive a message "Unsupported graphics card detected (Code AP203, AP204)".

Laptop Toshiba Satellite P55W

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5500 U CPU @2.4 GHz

GPU Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500

Could I fix the problem or not to waste time?

MS Win8 Games

We are continuing to investigate this BUT it seems that some of the problems are due to older graphics cards where the manufacturer of the card hasn't updated the drivers to be compatible with Windows 8.1. If you check the stickied post "Having graphics
problems? Look here!" , you'll see a workaround until the graphics card companies push out updates to their drivers.

Thanks for helping me out.

I am doing the process right now and it’s uninstalling the old graphics card. After it restarts and stuff I will install the new driver. I have downloaded the newest version of driver for my Graphics card.

Edit: do I have to restart my computer after the graphics card is installed?

Hi,

If you've updated your graphics card drivers and you're still seeing this message it means that your graphics hardware (and I'm assuming it's integrated), doesn't support DirectX 10 at the hardware level.

The DirectX12 software layer is installed as part of Windows 10 and 11 and is backwards compatible (in a software sense) with all previous versions of the DirectX graphics API. However, having DX12 installed doesn't mean your PC supports it at the hardware level.

The game you're having issues with is probably an older title that came out before DirectX12, hence why the error doesn't say anything about DX12.

What this basically comes down to is that due to the age of your system you can't run this game as its not compatible.

If you've got a desktop/tower PC and a compatible power supply you can add a dedicated graphics card. If on the other hand you've got a laptop then I'm afraid you're out of luck and you'll need a new device.
