    Textures not loading in games, and games sometimes won't start


    I think something is wrong with my XBOX ONE. I started having issues in Fortnite, where I would land and the textures wouldn't be loaded, then I started having issues with super weird geometry in the game (objects would be incorrently rendered and have
    huge splines shooting everywhere), and now the game won't even start usually. I tried holding down the power button for 10 seconds, nada. Tried to reinstall the game. Nada. I tried resetting the console without deleting the games. Nada. I tried resetting the
    console entirely. Nada. What else can I try to fix it? I'm suspicious that it might be a RAM issue or something.

    Hi,

    Sorry about your problem there. Would it be possible for you to upload an image of what you are seeing on screen regarding these graphical artefacts please?

    The 'huge splines shooting everywhere' sounds like a graphics hardware issue. If you see what appear to be spikes emanating from the ground or in the middle of the screen that are not meant to be there, this pretty common with this type fault. This is
    a fault I've seen on consoles and PC graphics hardware.

    If it's what I'm thinking it is - and a picture would confirm this - then I'm afraid your console more than likely needs a repair.

    Make sure your console has an enough air to 'breath'. Don't block the air intakes. Overheating can also cause this issue.

    Make sure your power outlet is working correctly. Surge protectors can cause issues with Xbox hardware. Either plug your console directly into the mains or use a known working power strip that isn't surge protected, working correctly and is not overloaded.
