text won't display to allow me to enter network passcode

I've recovered my gamertag but I still need the xbox Live Passcode in order to change it. Is there a way to remove or reset the xbox Live Passcode after recovering the gamertag?

Will deleting the profile only and recovering the gamertag allow me to change/remove the xbox Live Passcode without entering the original?

As far as I know, the four digit code will only show up on your console. If someone has access to your account on another console, they won't see and have to enter the passcode.

Sorry to hear it. If you've forgotten the Passcode on your Xbox. Enter the wrong code 3 times. After that you'll be prompted to enter the password of the account that set the Passcode

That I don't know I would just add a passcode to get it done and over with. Once the passcode is set, anyone who wants to use your profile must enter the passcode before signing into Xbox LIVE.

1. Go to Settings, select Account, and then select Account Security.
   
2. Select Pass Code.
   
3. On your controller, enter a four-button code by pressing X, Y, the triggers, the bumpers, and the directional pad.
   
4. Enter your code again to confirm it. Now when you sign in with your Xbox LIVE Gamertag, you’ll be prompted to enter your Xbox LIVE passcode. To change or reset your passcode repeat these steps. You need to enter the original passcode before you can change it.
