Text to Talk option for hearing impaired

I have a couple of friends that I game with that are hearing impaired. A text to talk option is greatly needed. I have to exclude them from a lot of activities/games. D1/D2 raids, any PVP it is hard for them and me. We have to game and text on my phone
at the same time. I have had over 200 texts for just one riad that is not including the reply from my friends. Is there an app out there already? If not please consider making this an Xbox option.

For the Hearing Impaired

Hello,

I was hoping to get some insight on the possibility of hearing aide compatible devices like headphones, and etc., so people with a hearing impairment can comfortably communicate with other players and even hear the game without having to wake the neighbors.

I am also wondering if the new S controller's Bluetooth can connect to a ComPilot for hearing aides, which is designed for listening to music and connecting to other Bluetooth devices for sound and communication.

Help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Bought new 3 years ago Xbox 360 Arcade and its banned from xbox live for violating terms of service.

Don't you find it odd that this person is the only person in the building that can only be contacted via text phone? MS use the 800 area code for speaking phone and 866 for text phoning for the hearing impaired. It's a cold hard scam.

I don't know if you've already tried this but if you haven't here you go and hope this helps:

Using game transcription on Xbox One

Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select System > Settings > Ease of Access > Game transcription.

To transcribe other players' voices into text, select Speech-to-text on.

To have your chat text read aloud to other players, select Text-to-speech on. To choose the voice that other players will hear when your chat text is read aloud, select one of the available voices in the Text-to-speech voice menu.

To have games read aloud certain words that appear on the screen, select Let games read to me.

No, it is verbal descriptions of action on the screen. Not a text description of the dialouge and sound. It is for visual impairment not hearing impairment.

Just so you know, I'm one of them.

And yes, I do rely on my sight a lot in games. Which is why I'm rubbish at shooters. Other games have the benefit of being able to hear where gunshots are close and people sprinting towards you I don't.

As for how I lost my hearing, brain stem encephilitis when I was 8 years old. Nasty stuff.
