    Test streaming keeps disconnecting my xbox from the app


    I can get the xbox app connected to my console and smartglass works fine, but every time I've tried the "test streaming" button it fails abruptly with all red Xs and says that "I am not connected to my xbox" or "the app could not connect to my xbox", even
    though it was connected seconds before. I can then just go right back out to the home page of the app and reconnect to my console. Anyone got a clue why this is happening?

    I'm pretty sure I have everything set up correctly, streaming is enabled from the console, signed in with the same profile on both app and console. I am trying to stream over wifi and suspect that might have something to do with it but I would think that
    having inadequate wifi would just make streaming laggy, not utterly disconnect the app from the console which makes me wonder if it's something else.

    ive got same issue, streamed perfectly fine before and now it keeps disconnecting yet all my other internet and network related things work fine, just xbox app streaming issue now after update

    I'm having the same issue as Dana and the streaming works find for up to 20 minutes, and then my controller becomes unresponsive, regardless of the fact if it's plugged in or wirelessly connected. The controller only works fine if I cancel streaming and
    start again but once I do that it keeps disconnecting and the test says its not connected even though I can hear the audio playing. Also on top of this, if I still attempt to play the app eventually doesn't load the stream, and after hitting stream, it crashes.
    The app doesn't work properly again until I restart both, my pc and xbox.

    Game Streaming Xbox One S to Windows 10 - Can't connect, can't find console

    I am having the same issue. I have tried the recommended solutions:

    - Make sure Windows, Xbox, and Xbox App are fully updated (yes).

    - Restart the PC, Xbox One, and Router (no effect).

    - Uninstall/Reinstall Xbox App on Windows 10 via PowerShell (no effect).

    I have not yet done a reset on the Xbox because I'd really like to keep all my saved games (especially Fallout 4).

    Running the Streaming Test fails (could not connect to console) but the console's audio can be heard through the PC speakers during the test, so it is, in fact, connecting to some degree.

    I can start streaming through the app, but it only lasts for a couple of minutes before sudden disconnect. Each time I reconnect, the streaming duration gets shorter and shorter.

    On the connection menu, the "Turn On" button does nothing and the Xbox doesn't turn on. The "Turn On" feature did work from my iPhone Xbox app one time. After that, the app says that it connects, but the console isn't even turned on.

    I have submitted this information through the Xbox (Beta) app, so hopefully they'll get this fixed soon. I use the streaming feature more than playing directly on the console/TV, so this is a pretty big inconvenience.

    Xbox One X, streaming to Win10 PC issue

    Again, as I said in my original post: the streaming works fine under initial circumstances. So it cannot be a bandwidth or routing issue. The issue is only when you disconnect from the stream and reconnect, using the Xbox app.

    I'm going to assume it's a bug in the Xbox app which doesn't seem able to reconnect to existing streams properly.

    I am also experiencing Xbox App crash every 30 seconds. My Xbox is connected, I can play a game on my Windows PC, but the app crashes every 30 seconds, I have to keep clicking "Stream" and it's annoying. Then it refers me to "Test" my Streaming connection
    and the App says it cant connect to my Xbox, when in fact, I hear my game music playing in the background in the App. Which can't be right.

    I have streamed to my Windows PC since the App Launch and never had connection problems.

    System and App are both up to date.
