Please wait in a different location by traveling to another major city for example the Cheydinhal, waiting for 24 in-game hours, and then returning to Anvil.

And then try different times of day. Other players found that talking to The Stranger after 11 PM at his abandoned house worked.

I just started a new character to do the thieves guild quest line lol, i have a feeling that we will be waiting a long time for bugged quests to be fixed, some in oblivion were actually never fixed.

Also looking forward to a unbreakable lockpick. While the Thieves Guild Quest was decent, it paled in comparison to Oblivion's. I actually enjoyed that more so than the main quest and the Oblivion Gates. All and all this is a great game.

Don't forget the scoundrels folly quest bug that makes you unable to continue with the thieves guild.

I enjoyed the Thieves Guild most this time. In Oblivion, it was the Dark Brotherhood by far. I think my expectations of the DB quest line were probably unrealistically high after how good it was in Oblivion.
