Terrible ms support wont honor their mistake

Bought a xbone controller in april, in a month it had drift sticks, couldnt get replaced at store because warranty was only 1 month, then i contacted support, Allen M told me i had 1 year warranty so i waited in september because i didnt want to be with
no controller for summer, as today i contacted support and now they dont want to do a replacement because its out of warranty, Allen M lied up about the warranty and now microsoft support dont want to honor the replacement and i am blamed for this.

What support told me after i posted the reference number with Allen M: Thank you for waiting! I found it. It seems he thought the warranty is one year for controllers but I am afraid he must have made a mistake. The controller you have a standard one which
I am afraid only has 3 months warranty

Such a shame that microsoft doesnt want to honor their mistake

It is unfortunate and I understand your frustration, but yes mistakes happen. The standard controller does only carry a 90 day warranty.

I think hardware warranty may range from 90 days for some peripherals to 1 year for the console itself. I'm sorry you experienced this, I would recommend reaching out to MS Customer Support for additional assistance.

It's totally understandable that youre upset, I think that anyone who has had a bad experience with a representative will attest that they should take a bit more time to correctly address the issues brought to them and not just wave them off.
