Terrible lag despite a good connection

    Terrible lag despite a good connection


    Hopefully someone can explain this for me, for about the last month and a half anything I do on xbox live game wise has been very laggy. I have done multiple things (power cycle, DMZ my xbox, replaced my modem, etc) but everything still lags terribly.
    The odd part is that I maintain at least 60mb/s down and 8mb/s up with no packet loss and about 130 ping which from Ontario to Seattle, WA is kind of expected. Every game I play that has connection monitors all come up green yet I still rubber band into
    walls and behind objects that I was not intending to get behind. Hopefully someone can enlighten me on what I can possibly do to fix this. Very frustrating!

    tremendous lagging on MW3 multi-play

    they tried patching lag compensation and made it 100x worse.

    60% terrible lag

    20% unplayable lag, shooting through people, shooting paper bullets etc.

    15% WTF moments

    5% good connection, perfect hit detection.(in this state,even a noob is invincable because most of the other people in the lobby have lag issues)

    Some people have been lucky with online multiplayer, others (like me) have been incredibly unlucky and have terrible lag with a great internet connection. Mine is so bad that every time I've tried to play it takes a good ten minutes to get a match and when
    I get in it's riddled with the input lag the OP mentioned.

    Wired or Wireless (for each console): Wired

    Things you have tried: Tried power cycling the xbox and router, tried port forwarding, tried putting my xbox in the routers DMZ, contacted my ISP and had them come have a look at my connection (they ended up replacing my modem but even after the replacement
    things still run poorly)

    Terrible lag despite a good connection

    I don't know if this helps but I've only noticed it with Smite and Black Ops 3, both games are downloaded copies and not physical copies.
