Terrible Impression

I'm really curious about something, I've always been a pc gamer but today decided to buy a Xbox one to try it out, It came with Halo and I bought killer instinct 2 with it. First impression was I bought a game that only comes with 1 playable character? seriously
that is the stupidest thing I've ever seen, not to mention the 3 hours it took to DL it on a 50mbps connection. Are all the games going to be like this? I'd like to know so I can decide whether to take it back or not.

However demos don't really convince players to buy the full game anymore as much as they used to. Now, it's different; usually players who buy the demo of a game are so off-put by the game that they refuse to buy the full because of the terrible impression
of the demo (Forza Horizon / Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012).

 

BUY killer instinct?? It is a free game.. for the free game you get rotating characters one at a time. If you bought the pack, you should have them all.

And yes, the game installs might seem long. but I have never waited 3 hours for any game to DL.. 25 minutes tops...

 

If you 'bought' Killer Instinct S2, then you should have all the S2 characters

 

KI is a bit unique in the sense that the base game is free and you can buy the characters.

As for game installs they do take awhile depending on your internet. Personally I buy physical disks just to be able to install while offline. Takes way less time.

 

A "Silver", no gamer score, and no games played (Didn't even want to try out the one character?). Seems legit.

 

Don't just download Ki you need to also get combo breaker pack or ultimate pack to get characters

 

When it comes to downloading updates, it is more game specific. Halo being the worst so far. No not all games are like that, just popped Murdered somthing last night and there was no update.

Sony updates are equal on the downloading updates front.

It's more of a publisher issue then a system one. Neither Sony or MS seem to be putting any control on this. Maybe put off buying a gold membership for now and give it 5 or more games(2 weeks) before making any decisions.

Friend bought XB1 last night and is having the same struggles.

 

First of all, have never had an update + installation takes that long. You must have had an anomaly, which does happen time to time.

Secondly, Killer Instinct is a free game, where you can buy the characters you want, or purchase a combo breaker pack and receive all of the characters. You wrote Killer Instinct 2, which is confusing.

Secondly your gamer card and recent activity shows you have done nothing. I believe this to be a troll post.

 

True, could be a troll... But think about it. Just bought an X1, while waiting for updates, head to the forum and find out some info... Possible. I know my buddie has about 60 gp so far since getting his XB1 at 7pm yestday. That's 12 hours or so.... Could
be legit, no further bait follows.

I genreally wait for a reply before pitch forks and torches come out.

 

I could ALMOST buy this argument, but the O.P. stated he/she was a P.C. gamer; they would have researched the X1 before a purchase. Add the fact about no recent game activity... When I put Borderlands The Pre-Sequel in, it showed under my recent activity
immediately even though it was installing and I haven't even "played" it yet.

I don't think he even played any games either. Seems odd. I don't even own an Xbox One and I doubt the download times for me would be that bad.
