    Terrible download speeds on Series S


    Hello, just bought a brand new series S couple of weeks back and enjoyin' the hell out of it but one thing am noticing is that my download speeds on xbox are beyond terrible. I am running 50 mbps(ain't nothing much to write home about, its serviceable i
    guess) fibre optic connection and I can get okay download speeds on my PC. I can download a game like The Evil Within on Steam in like, an hour but on xbox downloading Arkham Knight takes like 6+ hours or more.

    I can get brief spikes of proper download speeds of 40-50 mbps for like 1-2 minutes before it drops to a steady 7-8 mbps.

    I tried all of the things like port forwarding , changing my DNS settings, resetting my router and other shenaningans but no help. I am running wireless connection. Also my NAT type is strict and am getting double NAT detected. I also can't connect to my
    wireless 5 ghz band, i get the "cant get IP address" error

    I am from India btw., does my location has anything to do with server distance ?

    personally i have Verizon fios 85/35 package. xbox live downloads are terribly slow for me.

    yet. on xbox i am lucky to see 2Mb/s down & 1mb/s up. Its absolutyely garbage. It will take me forever to download this 16GB Grand Theft Auto 5 right now..

    Being launch day, it's going to be slow at first because of the flood of traffic.
    Still terrible download speeds today, I'm literally getting 0B/S sometimes with 350Mbps down

    OK what type of connection fibre or satilite o r cable or DSL or lte modem

    If anythimg but cable or DSL you need to work with your ISP to adjust your settings for gaming

    Also does your account region match your actual location?

    The download speeds are terrible. A 1GB download takes like 3 times longer than an Xbox 1GB download
