    Terrible Download Speeds for Xbox One


    My install speeds for Xbox One games and apps seems to be having incredibly bad issues as of late. Throughout the entire time that I've had this console I've been able to install games the size of 70GB in a few hours, yet now it takes
    days to install 30GB. My download speeds used to be around 20MB/second yet now they fluxuate between 500KB/second - 3MB/second. At some points, the installs will stop entirely for a few minutes and then start again. I've tried hard resetting
    my router (I have a wireless connection for accessibility reasons) and also hard resetting/restarting my Xbox too. Furthermore, whilst these sluggish intalls are in process, the internet for my entire household gets puts on hold and becomes mostly inaccessible.
    Just for troubleshooting reasons, I'll state that I'm from the UK and not Australia as I've heard that this is a frequent problem down under. If someone could help me, I'd very much appreciate it!

    My download speed on my computer is 30mbps on my xbox ive been download halo 3 which is 6 gigs on my computer i can download that in 5 mins on my xbox ive been downloading it for 4 hours i then went to check my dl speed on my xbox and its 60kbps which is
    terrible why is my download so much i pay money for xbox live not for my download speed to be so bad it should not take me 4 hours to get to 50 percent . What is the solution to fix this terrible dl speed on my xbox .

    XBOX LIVE SHOULD BE FREE

    The download speeds are terrible. A 1GB download takes like 3 times longer than an Xbox 1GB download

    Sorry to hear it. You've done the right thing by resetting your router and console. For your next step I'd like to have you try unplugging both the modem and router for 60 seconds then plug it back in and see if that helps.

    If it does not then please try a factory reset on the console. There is an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them.

    I also wanted to mention that a wired connection is always best and I do understand that you're going wireless for accessibility reasons. On a wireless connection the internet is split (worse in my opinion) between all devices used. If you're trying to
    download while surfing the net or watching online videos then you'll experience a slower than normal download speed. May I suggest setting the console to instant on then turning on the option to download in the background. This way you'll continue downloading
    content and updates while the console is off.

    Beyond that you may need to contact your ISP for help opening up extra ports for the console.

    Very very very slow download

    Found the fault .. Google DNS

    Used OpenDNS and Xbox one speed tests are now closer to my actual speeds. Deleted BF4 and re-downloaded it and it downloaded in no time at all.

    Tried to see if this fixed it for PS4 as well... No such luck. PSN servers truly are terrible.
