    As usual the 3.5mm jack for the headset keeps going out on the xbox [Mod Removed] poor controllers. Even my Elite stopped working at 5 months. Conveniently just past the warranty period. Just bought a brand new xbox one controller and low
    and behold, right out of the box, the 3.5mm jack does not work. Imagine that. It has been literally impossible to register it and the ONE time I actually got to speak with someone they hung up on me. Why do they even ask for a call back number if they are
    not going to call back. So I wasted 4 hours trying to get a brand new controller replaced. Microsoft sucks. Thanks for making it an easier decision to switch to Playstation. Xbox just isn't worth the hassle with their [Mod Removed] poor hardware
    anymore. I agree with other that MS knows they are making junk which is why their warranty is so short (90 days) and is a complete and utter useless hassle to try to make a claim.

    not stating that something is better than the other, just facts as the owner of both. I'm sure that PS 5 will be a great machine, but Scarlett will also be one.

    It only lets me register new xboxs only. No accessories at all. Hopefully they can fix that issue

    As for the multiple controller breaks, these are mostly adult owned and I take very good care of my stuff. It started on my kids controllers so I thought it was them breaking it. But even on my controllers, like the elite, I never let them use mine for that
    issue. They still went out. There are multiple youtube videos and the forums are full of how to resolder the connection points. I can't solder well enough to fix it. This newest issue was with a brand new controller straight out of the box and had never been
    played with. Had a brand new pair of A40s so I know if was the headphone connection breaking the 3.5mm port. Literally brand new right out of the box. Bought it as Best Buy a couple of weeks prior. Just hadn't used it. It was out of Best Buys return policy.

    The controller having issues is annoying but that is what warranties are supposed to be for. I was mainly upset that to get support for the controller literally took hours to get. I finally found the web address to register the controller after hours of
    using different search terms. That is the ridiculous part. Then I will say I was pleasantly surprised at the response. I never did get to speak with someone again but the automated system worked very well. I received multiple emails updating me on the fact
    that a new controller was on its way. I received it two days ago. I am very impressed with that aspect. It was fast, well communicated, and taken care of. It is a shame I had to spend so much time getting to the claim process. So over all I am happy again.
    I do wish MS would make the 3.5mm jack more durable. I can use the adapters but on $65-$160 controllers I shouldn't have to. Oh well it is what it is. Thanks for the responses.

    I've never actually had a problem with it before. I'd say you should by a adapter for your controller, they're very reliable. I currently have a Turtle Beach adapter and it works perfect with my Astros!
