Terrible Chat Support - No fix yet - Win10 Xbox One Controller

I cannot get the Xbox One controller (Wired) to work with games that are made only to work with Xbox controllers. The system picks the controller as a "Generic" controller and I cannot even calibrate it.

That being said, it's Windows 10. It's fairly new and bugs will happen. I have done everything from downloading old drivers to a clean install of Windows 10 to get this thing working, all steps have failed.

I then reach out to Xbox Support as Windows Support asked me to do, I get told that it is a firewall that is keeping my controller from working.... Really?

Windows Firewall is turned off, computer is set to DMZ in the modem/router, I have Windows Defender turned off AND no AV program on the computer.

After explaining that to the chat "support", I go ~15 minutes without a reply. I have screen shots and will be posting them.

My question to anyone out there, is there a fix for the Xbox controller that works perfectly fine on my Windows 7 machine? Before we go to "Google it!", keep in mind, I already have. I do not have a "Microsoft Xbox One Controller" driver. Only a Xbox Controller
and Xbox Gaming Device driver.

I am 100% sure that Windows 10 is up to date

I have uninstalled, deleted drivers and reinstalled with no luck

Hardware and Printers (Control Panel) shows the device as "Unspecified" and labeled as "Controller"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

xbox one controller disconnects???

So what is the answer, controller, update software, xbox one... come on man... I have x07, titanfall controller and an xbox one purchased at christmas.. no issues tell chat adapter update... terrible sound along with controller disconected message... only
fix pull batteries and put back in.. what are we supposed to do MS?.

 

Chat Settings while streaming xbox one to windows 10

I use the streaming feature on my Win10 computer every so often, I've never had to connect my controller to my computer and never had any issues using the chat (xbox one isnt too far from my computer).
This recently (2 weeks ago or so) when I enabled streaming the chat feature wasnt working on my headset that's attached to the controller. It now was sending the chat audio to my win10 default audio output. Once I turned off the streaming chat resumed on my
headset. Is there anyway to make chat input and output always come out from the controller / xbox rather than windows.

TLR - can the XBOX App stream only video so I can use my headset for audio and chat from my controller thats still wirelessly connected to my XBOX One

I did however figure out the issue on my own. I use a Roccat Tyon mouse, this mouse has "16" buttons, but really it just emulates a controller as well. That being said, after I disabled quite a few devices that made the controller emulation stop, I was then
able to reinstall the drivers for the Xbox One controller and get it to register that it was, indeed, an xbox controller.

I'm still not sure why it would block/take the place of the Xbox Controller as it only emulates a generic controller, but I am happy that after ~8 hours of searching, uninstalling, reinstalling, banging my head against a wall and planning the destruction
of the Earth, I am now able to use it how it was intended.
