Terraria multi-player option isn't working

Hi all,

My son is trying to play Terraria multi-player and when he tries to start it, he gets the following message: "You cannot see content other people make because of how your account is set up. Your parent can customize your Xbox live privacy settings for
your profile in Settings>Account>Family settings>Manage family members.

We went to those settings and enabled pretty much every thing we could find, including see and sharing content and allowing multiplayer games, but to no avail. I also tried to join multiplayer with my account, which has no restrictions and is the adult
account, and it still didn't work.

Any thoughts on what setting we could be missing? We play numerous other games on-line with multiplayer with no issues (Fortnite, Battle Front, Minecraft), we have an active XBox Live Gold subscription, and the internet connect is working fine.

Typically when an issue like this happens, the best course of action would be to hard reset the Xbox. Which you must hold the Xbox power button down for 15 seconds and boot it back up. This normally can fix the issue as this common glitch even happens
to me. There also could be a suspension of communication on the account in question. Or the internet is acting up and there could be an issue.

I kind of agree. I prefer to play the campaign mode first. Used to make the multi-player more understandable and enjoyable. Now, you have to play multi-player first so you don't get "left behind". I also don't quite understand the people that just play the
multi-player. I see alot of MW3 players that don't have any or very few achievements, but absolutely kick butt on multi-player. I guess that is from playing multi-player from day 1.

I did try the multi-player on MW3 first, but that only lasted for a few days. Just to get the feel for it. I'm still working on the "harder" campaign achievements, but I also enjoy other games that I'm working on now. MW3 multi-player just isn't a good
game for me.

Gold membership allows you to access Xbox LIVE, but to play online with someone they will need to use their own account, or some games have the option to use a guest account to be able to play on LIVE with the main gold user.

A quick plunder reveals there is no split screen co-op for O.R.C. If it's any help Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 do offer split screen co op and is much the same idea done a lot better. Worth looking into at any rate.

This did not help me. It says I need to connect her device in order to allow her to play multi-player, but I'm not able to connect the switch with any of the options. Her switch isn't an Xbox and it's not a windows 10 device.
