  1. Teredo & Xbox live service.

    Hi,

Since release I have been trying to get Teredo to work properly. below a short summary of the status:

    • No vpn installed, even no addapters listed beside teredo and the default one.
    • I have upnp enabled
    • I have the suggested ports opened for teredo and they are listed under the netstat display in cmd/powershell
    • NAT type is open.
    • Teredo state is "qualified"
    • Type is listed as enterpriseclient atm but also used nataware or whatever the other states are.
    • My device has a static ip
    • Windows firewall lists all the "halo mcc" as allowed and xbox apps as well
I was able to play for 3-4 hours yesterday untill it kicked me out of the matchmaking menu, getting stuck on "connecting to server" once again afterwards. At the moment the XBL services are showing that they are experiencing issues. I think this has to do
with the gift/payment issue going on right now. So any help with this strange issue would be welcome.

The Teredo parameters are the same as when they worked and also as when they didn't. Why is this issue the same as it was in 2006? Why are all the answers on Microsoft forums always the same and sometimes don't even seem to have read the question. For example:

Q = "Why does Teredo psuedo adapter not show in devices even when hidden devices are enabled in "view" and not even listed under the microsoft list when trying to install legacy drivers "

A = "Issues with the Teredo adapter can be solved by reinstalling Teredo. You can do this by going to devices and enable "show hidden devices" then select action and add legacy devices. Select microsoft and select Teredo from the list"

I hope you can see just how ...unfitting that answer is. I hope there are some steps to my issue because documentation is everywhere and nowhere, the most reliable coming from hopeless customers that have tried to resolve this problem themselves.

    :)

Xbox Live Services: Not available (Windows 10, possible Teredo issues)

Thanks for the suggestion, I had already tried that. That usually fixes the 'Teredo can't qualify' error, but still no Xbox Live services.

By the way, the ACER notebook of my GF connects just fine to Xbox Live services even in "Teredo can't qualify".

    Hi Choice,

Thanks for coming to the forums. With the answer it is asking to reinstall the adapter. Things become corrupt from time to time and a reinstall usually helps. Especially if it isn't showing up at all. Also, with Teredo you may want to reach out to your internet
company and see if there are any restrictions they have. As In the past certain ISP's have blocked ports, or websites.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Teredo is unable to qualify - I've tried EVERYTHING...

Teredo is a networking protocol that’s used to establish secure communications between clients and servers, and to facilitate connectivity between devices behind routers that use network address translation
    (NAT).

Failure to obtain a Teredo IP address can occur when there’s an issue with your Teredo adapter, when a device on your network is blocking the Teredo protocol, or if there’s software installed on your PC
that’s disabling Teredo functionality. Without a Teredo IP address, you’ll be unable to use party chat or do multiplayer gaming on Xbox Live.

Note The Teredo IP address is only necessary for Xbox Live party chat and multiplayer features. If your game doesn’t use the Xbox Live service, consult that game’s support site for help
    on chat and multiplayer issues.

Party Chat not working on Windows 10

So I ran into this problem and I ran into it again. It is quite annoying. This is caused by your windows firewall settings basically the ones that are set in the windows settings. This is can also be caused by your antivirus software, and it can also be
caused by VPN services. Change the xbox app to being trusted and figure out which inbound or outbound connection your PC is blocking and that will fix the problem asap. Otherwise start here!

Solution 6: Windows services required for Xbox Live multiplayer and party chat have been changed from their default values

There are four key services that are required for Xbox Live multiplayer and party chat to function on Windows 10. If any of these services have been disabled, you will need to re-enable them in order to use Xbox Live party chat and multiplayer systems.

Check to make sure the required Windows services are enabled:

Enter Services in the search field on your toolbar (Cortana).

Select Services from the search results.

In the Services application, check the Startup Type for the following services to ensure they are set to their default values:

IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules, Startup Type: Automatic (Trigger Start)

    IP Helper, Startup Type: Automatic

Xbox Live Auth Manager, Startup Type: Manual

Xbox Live Networking Service, Startup Type: Manual

If any of the services have been altered from their default values, you can configure them back to their default values:

In the Services application, double-click the service name that has been altered.

In the Service properties window, select the Startup type drop-down list and select the default value for the service.

For example: If the service startup type’s default value is Automatic and the startup type has been changed to Disabled, you will need to change it back to Automatic, and then start the service. To start the service, under Service Status, select Start.

There are some applications that reconfigure PC settings in order to try to optimize PC performance. Some of these applications will disable Windows services as part of their optimization processes, and in doing so may reconfigure one or more of the four
services listed above to be disabled. If you use one of these PC optimization applications, make note of any service configuration changes it makes, as you may need to revert those settings in order to use Xbox Live party chat and multiplayer systems.

Solution 7: Teredo server name is set to an invalid value

In order for Teredo to function normally, it needs to be configured to use a valid Teredo server. If the Teredo client on your PC has been configured to use an invalid server name, it will need to be reconfigured to a valid Teredo server name to function
    correctly.

Check to see what Teredo uses as a server name:

Right-click the Start icon, and then select Command Prompt (Admin).

To check the server name Teredo is using, run the following command from the Admin command prompt:

    netsh interface Teredo show state

The default value for the server name parameter on Windows 10 is win10.ipv6.microsoft.com.

If a different value is displayed and Teredo is unable to obtain an IP address, you may need to revert the setting back to the default value. Run the following command in the Admin command prompt:

netsh interface Teredo set state servername=win10.ipv6.microsoft.com

    NAT Problems

Here is a Xbox Support troubleshooting page that will walk you through NAT and Teredo Qualifying issues. It can be a lengthy walkthrough but will solve most issues. Also, NAT and Teredo usually run into problems with Antivirus programs blocking the communication
with Xbox Live services. I will usually just turn off smart firewall then click check again in the Gaming tab of Windows settings, just remember to turn smart firewall back on after reconnecting to Xbox Live services.
