    Teredo is broken?


    Hi,



    The Teredo service for the Xbox PC app seems to be totally broken as of recent.



    To sum up in brief - none of the multiplayer games are working properly.
    There are two of us, different computers, ISPs, exchanges, different houses.
    Both running the latest 2004 version of Windows 10. Both tried port forwarding, CMD commands to check/fix Teledo, different connections(wired/wireless), enabling/disabling UPNP +enhanced security.



    Tried turning off both Windows firewall fully, restoring to default, and fully disabling AVG.
    Checked with the PFchecker program on a few ports to check PF was working, said they were open.
    Tried 'Fix it', both checking after and restarting then checking.



    Forza 4 as an example, suffers constant disconnects from the session, making it unplayable.
    Gears of War 4 has your coop campaign partner constantly freeze(lag out) on screen, before dropping.



    This being said, we never encountered issues with the Xbox app prior to this, as we played Forza for an entire month with no disconnects around about June if I remember correctly. No changes have occurred on this end also.



    The Xbox Networking page shows the NAT/Server connectivity changing from Open(or Moderate) and Connected, to "Teredo is unable to quality" and Blocked.



    CMD querying brought multiple variations of this back, all showing nothing in particular besides the connection dropping.

    So... What is going on with the Xbox app?

    Adding some more information here, copy and pasted from a chat with Xbox 'Gamer support'.

    The fIx I used was to change the main server name, I had my brother also change to the same one as me to verify that it was the original server we were both on (win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com) that was not functioning correctly, despite being the default server
    that windows set for us.

    The server I changed to that has fixed it for both of us is "teredo.trex.fi", changed by the following admin CMD command.

    netsh int ipv6 set teredo client teredo.trex.fi

    Client Refresh Interval @ 30 seconds in group policies (or leave default if unchanged).

    I'm not sure of the differences between the servers, or what trex is specifically, all I know is that this has undoubtably fixed both of our issues, leaving the issue with the win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com server.

    My brother had a message back from the Forza team on his support ticket, to which they said they were aware of an issue, but they couldn't pin down what the issue was.

    Voila! Both Gears of War 4 and Forza are fully functioning again for both of us :).

    Yes my issue, I deactivated the teredo filter. So yes it is possible to have a Teredo IP adress for all consoles. He´s now restoring his Xbox One to factory settings. Nothing helps and we cant reach support.

    I wonder why I can play multiplayer and go into partys with no problems. But he cant. Is his xbox broken? It´s just 1 year old.

    Thats no fun at all.
