Teredo Disconnecting only when Settings is Closed

The title is serious. I have done a bunch of testing and my Teredo is completely disabled unless I open settings and press the check again option under Networking. If I then close the settings program it will immediately break again. I've checked using ipconfig and 'netsh interface teredo show state' under the Admin cmd to make totally sure, and yeah. I've had to keep the settings program open at all times, and I've resorted to moving it on to a second Desktop.

I've tired all of the usual recourse, and nothing has helped, in fact I've not seen anyone having this particular issue. This began occurring pretty soon after I started running my Surfshark VPN more often. On top of that, lots of programs have been rejecting VPNs recently, so that's not exactly helpful.

If anyone has so much as heard of this issue, I'd greatly appreciate being told so that I don't feel so crazy.

If you have already tried all the troubleshooting steps listed in the following link, then there may be a problem with the VPN client.

Please note the information mentioned in solution 7.

"Some VPN clients will disable Teredo connectivity while the VPN client is connected, and some VPN clients that install a network adapter that will disable Teredo until the VPN adapter is removed."

The best thing to do is to remove any trace of the software that allows you to make use of a VPN connection and check if this helps.

I don’t receive an error code that I know of. Just getting a disconnected from internet response on screen when it occurs, or closes out game and prompts me to check my network connection.

When I go into network settings to disconnect quickly and reconnect it will briefly show a message below NAT Type. Something close to “the current services are experiencing issues” and below that it says to visit a website like “xbox.com/teredo”. Not sure
if that is the exact url it provides. I can check but I’ll have to wait until it happens again.

Again the problem is not persistent, so any test that i run claims everything is fine. If there was a test that showed recent failures that would be great that way i could research the problem. But as i stated It constantly believes that there are no problem
until i get disconnected and then if I go to check it says everything is fine.

Update:

This only seems to happen when playing multiplayer. Party chat also seems to have problems. Both of these problems are connected to the Teredo error code but i dont have a teredo setting on my gateway so i cant manually check it.

SO When i use this:

1. Run command Prompt as administrator

2. Type "netsh" and press enter

3. Type "int teredo" and press enter

4. Type "set state disabled" and press enter

5. Type "int ipv6" and press enter

6. Type "set teredo client" and press enter

When i use this I can now stay online for about 20-40 minutes, it varies a lot. I still want a fix because it is very annoying being in the middle of a race and you get disconnected because of this issue.

Client Refresh Interval @ 30 seconds in group policies (or leave default if unchanged)

Haven't disconnected in over 3 hours of gameplay.
