Teredo client showing strict on Windows 10 v2004. Possible bug?

I was playing Forza Horizon 4 on Windows 10 Xbox One game pass. From, I think, last 6 weeks I have noticed frequent disconnection in multiplayer events and ignored it previously but it started to happen almost every time in middle of a ongoing session. Sometime
at the beginning and sometimes in middle of a session.

The googled it and found these following steps to troubleshoot Xbox Networking in windows PC and found my NAT type sometimes showing strict with Server connectivity connected and sometimes 'unable to qualify' with server connectivity Blocked. It changes
with time. Clicking Fix it sometimes changes the state to Strict + Connected but never open.

I found these steps in the following two troubleshooting tips from xbox support page,

    https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/connect-network/troubleshoot-party-chat

    https://support.xbox.com/help/friends-social-activity/parties-chat/troubleshoot-multiplayer-game

    1. Then I have set IP config to static/manual in my PC and contacted my ISP and told them to open those ports. Followed all steps and found the NAT status not changed.

    2. Again contacted my ISP to disable those ports and set dmz in my PCs IP as mentioned in that article: Nat status still strict.

    3. Done more research and found some tips to check reg entry of Teredo and here is my results,

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iphlpsvc\Teredo

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iphlpsvc\Teredo

    SP1Installed REG_DWORD 0x1

    ClientPort REG_DWORD 0xeb31

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iphlpsvc\Teredo\PreviousState

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>reg query HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters

    Dhcpv6DUID REG_BINARY 0001000126D6E62CF48CEB4C17B7

    DisabledComponents REG_DWORD 0x0

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters\Interfaces

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp6\Parameters\Winsock

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh interface Teredo show state

    Teredo Parameters

    ---------------------------------------------

    Type : disabled

    Server Name : win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com.

Client Refresh Interval : 30 seconds

    Client Port : 60209

    State : offline

    Error : none

    4. So with more research found a solution to set Teredo as 'enterpriseclient' and I have done these,

C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh interface Teredo set state servername=default

    Ok.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>notepad.exe c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh interface teredo set state type = enterpriseclient

    Ok.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh interface Teredo show state

    Teredo Parameters

    ---------------------------------------------

    Type : enterpriseclient

    Server Name : win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com.

Client Refresh Interval : 20 seconds

    Client Port : 60209

    State : qualified

    Client Type : teredo client

    Network : unmanaged

    NAT : symmetric (port)

NAT Special Behaviour : UPNP: No, PortPreserving: Yes

    Local Mapping : 192.168.1.5:60209

External NAT Mapping : 'My ISPs public IP Address':60209

Checked again in XBox networking but still status is Strict Teredo client showing strict on Windows 10 v2004. Possible bug? :(

    5. More research and done these in the Power Shell:

Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

Try the new cross-platform PowerShell https://aka.ms/pscore6

PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> netsh int teredo set state disable

    >> netsh int teredo set state type=default

    >> netsh int teredo set state enterpriseclient

    >> netsh int teredo set state servername=teredo.relab.net

    Ok.

    Ok.

    Ok.

    Ok.

    PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> exit

Still no change in Nat state as if I have done nothing to change it so it menas this problem is nothing to do with these troubleshooting: Exactally same condition it was in day0 (say).

So what I am doing wrong? Is there any glitch in windows which is bugging the process? Or I need to do a PhD in networking in order to play multiplayer in XBox Game Pass in windows PC. Never faced any similar issue with other online gaming clients. Thanks
for reading. I have I have mentioned every details.

However here is my current Teredo status after doing all these worthless efforts,

    Teredo Parameters

    ---------------------------------------------

    Type : enterpriseclient

    Server Name : win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com.

Client Refresh Interval : 30 seconds

    Client Port : 60209

    State : qualified

    Client Type : teredo client

    Network : managed

    NAT : symmetric (port)

NAT Special Behaviour : UPNP: No, PortPreserving: Yes

    Local Mapping : 192.168.1.5:60209

External NAT Mapping : 'My ISPs public IP Address':60209

Teredo client showing strict on Windows 10 v2004. Possible bug?

Since no one has replied to this question then I believe there is no other way to fix it f. I have changed network adopter and the issue remains same. For those who are facing similar problem please do check this aspect in your system as well,

XBox networking if I am using a Public Shared IP address

I have already ordered a new and better router to check if it is a router issue or not. I will update both the post to help anyone having similar issue. Thanks for reading.

Teredo client showing strict on Windows 10 v2004. Possible bug?

I have changed my router and found some issue with my old router related to port forwarding. After installing the new router in same IP configuration (Public Shared) from my ISP, just port forwarding solved my Strict NAT to Open NAT. But game disconnection
(Forza Horizon 4) still there for Microsoft XBox Game Pass only. . After more research I have found that the Teredo (ipv6 tunneling in a ipv4 connection) have issues or bug maintaining connectivity for this game in simple word it is poorly implemented by Great
Microsoft. No matter what you do, it changes Teredo form OK to "Unable to qualify" state randomly.

For those who are searching for a fix, TEHRE ARE NO SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM FROM MICROSOFT AS ON DATE. IT IS NOT YOUR ISP OR ROUTER PROBLEM. IF MICROSOFT AND THEIR GENIUS TEAM ABLE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM IT WILL GET FIXED AUTOMATICALLY
MAY BE WITH AN UPDATE, DON'T KNOW WHEN. SO DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOOGLING OR SEARCHING FOR A FIX. THERE IS NO FIX SO FAR.

Besides NAT just works to set match making. Open NAT increases possibility to connect with more players online and that's it. Just check in the XBox Networking option under Settings Menu and click "Fix". It should solve the problem temporarily but the problem
will recur. If clicking fix not solving your problem then avoid Microsoft Games!! This will be a best possible way to make them understand.

Never faced such STUPID ISSUE WITH STEAM, EA, UBISOFT for such a long period of time.

We couldn't sign you in to Xbox Live.

Thanks for taking the time to share this. Your NAT shows "Teredo is unable to qualify". Lets try to solve this as this may be causing your issues.

Check your connection again and click on "Click here for more information". You will be redirected to a Xbox page showing you tips to solve the Teredo issue.

If you are running Windows 10 Pro, Business or Enterprise, also try the steps below after the ones from the Xbox website:

    - Press Windows + R > Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.

    - Under Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > TCP/IP Settings > IPv6 Transition Technologies.

    - Find "Set Teredo Client Port" , "Set Teredo Default Qualified" , "Set Teredo Refresh Rate", "Set Teredo Server Name", "Set Teredo State". Change these settings like below:

Set Teredo Client Port - Enable - input " 0"

Set Teredo Default Qualified - Enable - choose "Enabled State"

Set Teredo Refresh State - Enable - Choose "30" or "20"

Set Teredo State - Enable - choose "Client" (If after doing all steps it fails, try choose Enterprise Client instead.)

Let me know how it goes, please.

Facing some issues in launching game on xbox app pc cloud gaming

That's exact what I wanted. Thanks for sharing.

You have Teredo unable to qualify and server connectivity blocked. This can cause a lot of issues since you cannot connect properly with the Xbox servers.

Please click on "Click here for more information" on your connection test to try to make these two error messages disappear.

    Also please do:

If you are running Windows 10 Pro please follow these steps:

    Press Windows + R, type gpedit.msc and press enter;

Under Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > All Settings

Find "Set Teredo Client Port" , "Set Teredo Default Qualified" , "Set Teredo Refresh Rate", "Set Teredo Server Name", "Set Teredo State". Change these settings like below:

Set Teredo Client Port - Enable - input " 0"

Set Teredo Default Qualified - Enable - choose "Enabled State"

Set Teredo Refresh State - Enable - Choose "30" or "20"

Set Teredo Server Name - Enable - input "win10.ipv6.microsoft.com"

Set Teredo State - Enable - choose "Client" (If after doing all steps it fails, try choose Enterprise Client instead.)

Then follow the steps on the Xbox website for both issues, restart your computer and see if your connection result shows Open NAT and connected to server.

Let me know how it goes, please.
