    Teredo Address not Obtained on college dorm network connection


    I cannot play Forza Horizon 3 online at all so this is the major issue and may result in demanding a refund as I cannot access the majority of the game due to a bug.

    I have tried everything on this page.. Xbox App NAT Type Displays Teredo Is Unable to Qualify | Xbox App on Windows 10 .. as well as solutions across
    the web with no luck. I cannot access my router settings using the default gateway because I am on a college network. In order to fix my problem teredo filtering needs to be disabled and the strict NAT type needs to be changed, that is from my research at
    least.

    At this point I know I need to contact my schools IT department but when I do I need to know exactly what they need to know to fix my 'Teredo Address: Not Obtained' problem in the Xbox Live app. What do I need to ask them to change/fix?

    Chat will not work error

    I second this post as I am experiencing the exact same issue. I'm going to try using a router to do my own port forwarding, but depending on the campus (mine in particular) some do port filtering. Port filtering is an extreme security measure for the network
    and essentially kills any kind of port forwarding. I will continue to try to justify this problem, but the real problem here is the connection requiring teredo in the first place. Teredo is a legacy driver and is barely function as it works with IPv4 in addition
    to modern IPv6, which a lot of current ISPs block by default.

    My residence has a rule against routers so that isn't a long term solution for me, so I'm not even going to try. So if Teredo runs on IPv4 and my college network has it blocked can I ask them to unblock IPv4?
