    My tenure was suppose to update to 4 years on December 25th, it did update to 4 years on my xbox 360 but it is not updating to 4 years on my xbox one, I tried to recover my profile on xbox one but it's not changing, it's annoying that it's not going to 4
    years like its suppose to be at

    Hey there bud!



    There has recently been a new update in regards to tenure, tenure is now based on the time accumulated on Xbox LIVE Gold. Here is a quote from an official thread regarding this update (of which I will link you to, in this post)



    "Tenure is based on the cumulative amount of Xbox LIVE Gold time a user has. While you do not lose tenure when you go Silver, Xbox LIVE Silver time does not accrue tenure. You will see your tenure increase only when the year of Xbox LIVE Gold time
    has finished.
    "



    However, there is a issue with tenure that is currently being solved, whereby some user's tenure will be put down. A lot of user's tenure has been fixed so where the problem stands at this moment, I am unaware of. You can view the updates on this

    What exactly is your tenure now?

    The tenure is accumulated so even if you go silver for a bit it should still keep track.

    I'm not sure when exactly the tenure should update although I did read once they only update on the anniversary of when your account was first created. Although I don't know if thats true or not.

    There are problems with the tenures losing years at the moment and MS are trying to fix them. So maybe thats what has happened to you.

    Hey there, Buy! I'm very sorry to see that your tenure isn't updating. Hopefully I can help clear some things up.

    A couple years ago, we switched tenure from being counted as from when you set up your account to how long you've had Gold on your account. You can verify how long you've had Gold by logging in to
    commerce.microsoft.com and looking at your subscription information. The total amount of Gold time you have had on your account is how long your tenure should be.

    The reason why your tenure might still say 4 years is because you have not had Gold in a while and recently purchased it. Generally, after a full billing cycle, the tenure will update with the correct tenure.

    If you see that you should still have the 4 years, please post back here the time frames that you've had Gold. We'll see if we can straighten everything up. Tenure will not update :) Hopefully this helps you out, though!

  5. I have had gold for 4 straight years, it is still showing up as me having it for 3 on the Xbox one, it shows 4 when I Log in on the 360

    I'm having the same problem. Had gold and live since december 2006. Why is the 360 saying I have 8 years tenure, and the One saying 7. Gold hasn't lapsed, no bans or issues. Please get this fixed, its yet another bug in what should be a premium system.

  7. My tenure no longer shows on my X1 profile. Shows as the correct 6 years on my 360 profile though. Noticed it not showing in X1 a few weeks back but no one can give me a reason why. They said my gold must have lapsed yet I renew my gold same time each year
    even before it expires.

    Under my subscriptions on X1 it still shows gold valid until 11/15 but not showing on profile. Any reason why or how to fix? Already did multiple power cycles and recoveries as well.

    I feel like they know the problem but their not fixing it. To the people at microsoft if its showing the correct tenure on 360 and not on xbox one. Then their gold DID NOT LAPSE. If its showing the correct tenure on the xbox 360, Then somethings wrong with

    They are not responding on this or many issues on xbox one. Very disappointed by the lack of response. As a preview member and ambassador, I'm really not impressed with how Microsoft are addressing this.

  10. My account also hasn't had its tenure updated to 6 years it should of renewed on March 3 and it still hasn't changed in my Xbox One. However on my Xbox 360 it says 6 like many people here on this forum and I don't appreciate how the Xbox One is lacking behind
    in mechanics to the 360 it's just sad this is supposed to be the next generation and it feels like we've taken a step back fix it Microsoft please I'm really frustrated!

    Sorry to hear about the tenure issue. This can normally occur if there has been a lapse in Xbox Live gold on your account recently. Since this is an older thread, please post a new thread with specific details your tenure doesn't correct itself in a full
    billing cycle. Thanks! Tenure will not update :)

    Tenure not updating.

    Tenure has been wonky as heck as of late. Mine disappeared completely a month ago and still has not refreshed. Twitter support told me tenure counter is updated once a month (it is probably even longer than this considering my tenure still hasn't reappeared
    a month later). My guess is that when the counter updates itself, it will appear at 10. Hopefully my tenure will return at that time. I've had 2 accounts and tenure disappeared on both. I've noticed a few friends whose tenures have also disappeared. I wish
    the tenure system was better.

    Your Tenure is updated on the date of creation of your gamertag. For example, if you created your gamertag in July the tenure will not update until that date regardless of how many times you've renewed it.

    There has been a recent update regarding tenure, here is a quote explaining this new update:



    "Tenure is based on the cumulative amount of Xbox LIVE Gold time a user has. While you do not lose tenure when you go Silver, Xbox LIVE Silver time does not accrue tenure. You will see your tenure increase only when the year of Xbox LIVE Gold time
    has finished.


    For your first year of Xbox LIVE Gold you will see a '0' and increase to '1' year of tenure when that year is up! For example, if you've had Xbox LIVE Gold for 3 years and 6 months, you'll see a tenure of '3' next to your Gamertag."



    However, there is an issue (of which is on-going) that is being looked in to currently. If you view Miss Kleo's Updates on the

    - any new updates will be posted there! Also, Official support may post here and tell you whether your tenure is correct or if you are facing this issue.
