Tenure not updating on Xbox One

Hey all, quick question here. I recently noticed that the tenure, or the number that's next to my name is not updating. My automated subscription renewed on the 25th but my tenure remains the same as it was last year. Yet if I go on the 360 it is updated
to what it should be. Anyone know why this happens?

This can happen if your old subscription is still running. Your new subscription will start the day after your old expired.

After that, it indeed can take a week orso for your Tenure to update.

I know this because a couple of years ago i had the same question.

If you recently renewed your Xbox Live subscription your tenure may take a bit of time to update on the Xbox One, be sure to keep an eye out for the change as it may take a bit of time. Thanks for your patience on this!

No. I've never lapsed and my tenure is reporting inaccurately by 3 years. If you search tenure in the forums, you will see thread after thread regarding tenure reporting inaccurately for years now. Tenure reporting is obviously broken.

it can take about a week for your tenure to update on the xbox one after renewing your membership so just wait on it

Hey there bud!

There has recently been a new update in regards to tenure, tenure is now based on the time accumulated on Xbox LIVE Gold. Here is a quote from an official thread regarding this update (of which I will link you to, in this post)

"Tenure is based on the cumulative amount of Xbox LIVE Gold time a user has. While you do not lose tenure when you go Silver, Xbox LIVE Silver time does not accrue tenure. You will see your tenure increase only when the year of Xbox LIVE Gold time
has finished."

However, there is a issue with tenure that is currently being solved, whereby some user's tenure will be put down. A lot of user's tenure has been fixed so where the problem stands at this moment, I am unaware of. You can view the updates on this

Tenure Issue thread posted by MIss Kleo. Official support, such as Miss Kleo, may come and post in your thread telling you whether your tenure is correct or not.

If your tenure lapses at all it can take a bit of time to show correctly on your Xbox One. So long as your see the correct tenure on your Xbox 360 you shouldn't need to worry. Keep an eye out for it to update on the Xbox One, it usually shows after a full
billing cycle but not always.

There has been a recent update regarding tenure, here is a quote explaining this new update:

"Tenure is based on the cumulative amount of Xbox LIVE Gold time a user has. While you do not lose tenure when you go Silver, Xbox LIVE Silver time does not accrue tenure. You will see your tenure increase only when the year of Xbox LIVE Gold time
has finished.

For your first year of Xbox LIVE Gold you will see a '0' and increase to '1' year of tenure when that year is up! For example, if you've had Xbox LIVE Gold for 3 years and 6 months, you'll see a tenure of '3' next to your Gamertag."

However, there is an issue (of which is on-going) that is being looked in to currently. If you view Miss Kleo's Updates on the

Xbox LIVE Tenure Issue - any new updates will be posted there! Also, Official support may post here and tell you whether your tenure is correct or if you are facing this issue.
