Temperature

I have my Xbox one in an entertainment center, and I noticed it was getting pretty warm in there. I installed a cooling fan, just wanted to know what temperature I should set the thermostat to on the cooling fan?

As CPUs and GPUs on PCs produce temperatures up to 70°C then a temperature of 50°C directly above the heat sink and the fan may be quite normal, especially when the environment temperature is also up to 30°C.

 

Room Temperature

You need to be careful. If the console gets too cold it could develop condensation when turned back in.

 

Blowing a fan over or near the Xbox ones natural cooling system could actually be counter productive to it's own cooling. Honestly it just should not be in an enclosed space period. Probably not what you wanted to hear i know...but it's what you should
hear.

First, you are correct blowing a fan on the xbox would be bad. However, this is a cooling system for the entertainment center, which draws out heat like a computer fan rather than blow air onto the xbox. I have other devices in the entertainment center as
well that were adding heat to the area. I wanted to know optimal temperatures for the xbox. [Mod removed]

 

The previous poster is right the console is best in an open space where it can vent the heat out the top as well as the sides and i back. Please refrain from bullying on these forums thank you.

 

I found the answer myself. The owners manual says 41 ° F to 91 ° F which is the answer I was looking for not what you think the optimal situation would be.
