Temp Ban?

So I have a good reputation on Xbox live, right? I'm playing Sea of Thieves and I get killed multiple times by the same guys. after repeatedly telling them I'm friendly and not killing them back. They sink my ship, blah. blah. blah. you know the rest. So
I get mad and send a nasty message to the guy doing it all. Apparently he reports me and has temporary communications ban put on my account. This ban is non-reviewable and i cannot do anything about it but just accept the fact that a griefer in a video game
just won because he got to the report button before me?

sorry guys. mostly ranting but also hoping that an admin or someone higher up can see this.

File a complaint on him and the enforcement team will investigate him and take action. Calling out other gamers is not allowed on the forums.

It doesn't matter how a situation starts. If you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct you can be punished. In situations like that, it's best to just report the other person and block communications with them.

 

OK, I am sorry i did not realize calling out was not allowed. but i guess it makes sense. So from here on out should i just report more often or?

I am not a report savvy person, and i rarely get into arguments with other players; hence why my reputation is nearly flawless.

Really, anytime you see someone violating the code of conduct you should report them. But there are more and more people online who try to bait you into responding to them, hopefully by swearing or something, so they can report you and get you banned. So
it's best to not fall into their trap and just report them.
