    Technical Support subcontractor not doing what Microsoft pays them to do apparently


    I talked to an employee, their Alpha Home Systems subcontractor. TWICE they hung up from bad phone connections. Or perhaps just didn't feel like talking to anyone, and why not? They get paid the same eitehr way. And this was AFTER my original xbox issue
    (a piece of DLC was not affiliated with my account after I payed for it) was "Fixed" by Microsoft Tech Support through a series of steps they had me take, that DELETED ALL MY GAMES AND SAVES. Over 100s of GB worth.

    So I still need technical support. They still won't do their jobs that we pay them for. And there's still no way to contact anyone besides Mr. Deleted All My Apps and then said, LITERALLY (I have the chat), "Whoops, it shouldn't have done that. Maybe
    you need to talk to someone else in Tech support."

    contact us page. Personally never heard of Alpha home systems. Also, support will never charge you for chat or phone support.

    So as far as Microsoft goes, it's probably better that you don't get technical support. Incompetent at best, but also very harmful in my case, and then the "live" support phone calls just hang up on callers because they feel like it.

    I work support for a software company. Our customers pay good money for our support. If a customer does NOT pay for support, they do not get support. Our employees do not work unless they do so to feed their families in return. If they provide technical
    support for non-paying customers, what incentive do the paying customers have to continue to pay? Every service must be profitable for it to be sustainable. Please don't take this the wrong way, but it's just how it works.

    What you most likely want to do is contact a phone support agent to get the best help.

    To do that you need to find the Microsoft technical support number and call them, then select Xbox, then you can get transferred to a person.
