'Technical issue' stops Battlefield Hardline EA Access users progressing without ...

Thought this could be useful to a few. ( Lets hope it doesn't follow other BF titles with issue after issue! )

Episode 2 remains locked in full game unless you replay earlier mission.

A "technical issue" with the Xbox One version of Battlefield Hardline is preventing EA Access members from continuing the game's single-player campaign as intended.

The glitch means that those who played through the opening two missions in the Xbox One trial will not be able to progress to Episode 2 in the full game without replaying the first episode.

"This means you’ll have to play through Episode 1 again before you can access Episode 2 in the full game, even if you previously completed it during the EA Access trial," EA says. "To resolve, be sure to select 'Restart Episode' in order to replay Episode
1; if you choose this option, progression on weapons and rankings will be retained."
You can also choose to restart the entire campaign, although progression on weapons and rankings will be completely reset and you'll have to replay the Prologue, too.

I was downloading this game last night, and to the best of my knowledge since I just woke up, I still am. I was upset about it because I was invited to a friend's party where he, and 3 other friends of mine were all already playing the game without me, having
left me behind due to my slow connection that I consistently complain about. While in the party they were complaining about issues with the squad join, which they said was similar to what initially happened with BF4, but otherwise said they ran into no other
problems. Of course, they were playing multiplayer, not single player, so thanks for the heads up regarding this glitch. While it may be annoying, it's at least, not game-breaking. I think I can stomach replaying a single mission if I have to. As for the DDOS
attacks, that just sounds like someone who's still salty from what happened with BF4, that they're trying to make BFH look just as bad, which, IMO, doesn't make sense. If it works (mostly), why make it worse for everyone else? I will try this game out later
today and, for those of you who don't have the game yet, will let you know what I think.

I believe GG that there's people out there that have no consideration for others and the hassle it causes people! Ok game issues are not life threatening, there's worse things that can happen in life but I just don't understand the mentality of the people
behind these DDOS attacks, probably just a case of letting others know ..... "Look what I can do" ...

Mind you, reading a few articles on Twitter, some claiming the BFH connection issues have nothing to do with DDOS attacks, it's the usual EA Server problems and they are using the DDOS attacks as an excuse? who knows but nothing would surprise me with EA
games these days.

Either way, I still look forward to trying out the campaign, I've heard mixed things about it but even if I get 4-5 hours of mindless fun then so be it.

 

Well, Lofty, that just makes it a case of "he said, she said" which is just rotten and stupid all around.

 

Yeah I noticed that Monday night when it released. Went to play the second mission and it would not let me. That's ok though I am having too much fun with the MP right now anyway.

 

I didn't play single player on trial. so the title is misleading.

 

Ah man! I forgot about replaying the 1st mission twice! I sat there and saw 0% the entire time during installation.

...I could've kept on playing! Bah humbug!

 

I ended up replaying a few missions to get all the evidence. All done now though, rather short Campaign I thought though.
