Technical issue after offline usb update

hey so im trying to help my friend with his xbox he just got it 3 months ago and he experienced the black screen so he did the usb offline update and now when he loads his games they crash after entering a match on fortnight. im a pc user and i know
a thing about systems so i volunteer to help so is there a way to update the drivers that may be causing this? or is there something you would suggest? or is it possible something is wrong with his hardware?

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand your friend is having issue with a game. Is this the only game that does it? If it is the only one, then try and uninstall and reinstall the game there may be files corrupt. If it is many games then we
suggest a repair. If it is only few months old it is still in warranty. you can check at

device support and set the repair up there also.

from what i understand he has gta and fortnight. now he had to reinstall the games after his system crashed. so he did the usb offline update. would it be possible that the xbox still saved some of the old files and thats whats messing it up like cash? i
believe its both games fail.

Thank you. I am getting the E102 code and I've done everything it says to do EXCEPT for an offline USB update. But the Xbox store just told me the issue a hardware issue and the offline update will not fix it.

Clear your console cache three times in a row and apply the update manually with a USB. Apply the update while offline and after this connect to xbox live.

Sorry to hear about this issue, have you tried using another USB stick for the offline update?
