    [Tech Advice] Screen Flickering on Xbox One S


    Hi all!

    I just today was gifted a PS5 for my birthday and I plugged it in and set it up all good. I'm actually keeping it until my actual birthday to use it (wanted to make sure all was good with it so set it up early) - anyway I am now using my One S to watch SkyGo and have noticed the screen is flickering occasionally. It's flashing white for like a second, or showing a bit of static at the bottom of the screen for a second.

    The TV I am using is a 4K fire TV and have had the One S for a while now and haven't experienced this issue before. I was thinking maybe something was up since I plugged the PS5 in but not sure.

    TVs aren't my thing, but was just looking for some advice!

    Screen goes Black on HDR with Xbox ?

    You talk about going black but have flickering on Topic.

    There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago
    The screen flickers when HDR or HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour is on in the TV, after a while of flickering it goes black, then the TV loses the signal from the Xbox. That's
    my problem.

    If I deactivate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour, then there's no more flickering and no more black screen.

    Well it isn't fixed yet, I'm 100% sure I am on the latest firmware on both the LG C9 and the Xbox One X.

    I have the same issue. It is really noticeable in Destiny when in your inventory menu. If I do a hard reset it may go away. Sometimes not & always comes back...
