Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

It depends on the in-game policy, HomelyElf. Just a friendly reminder though that we don't have information in regards to the enforcement action that you received for your own security and privacy but I am here to lead the way on where you can get more information regarding the enforcement and how you can prevent this from happening again.

You can simply sign in to https://enforcement.xbox.com to get more details and to possibly file a case review.

I think DICE have do right this time, by giving us the option of turning off friendly off in BF3 HC. Some poeple may not agree with this, but I personlly think is a good idea when playing with randoms. I think it also works both ways, friendly fire can be
    switched on in CORE aswell.

the code of conduct covers unsocial behaviour, team killing ruins the online experience for others which is unsocial behaviour and comes under the ToC, it can be reported and doing it to many times can incur a ban.

also the system still uses rep, although not the best system, to many reports of unsportsman like conduct can get you put into amber or even red, when in red it is near enough impossible to play online. to many reports of unsportman like conduct can trigger an investigation and lead to a ban.

Fair enough...thank you for explaining. My experience of teamkilling is what I read about it in the 2 minutes before I posted (I'm too old to know about things like that lol) and, yeah, does seem like a very grey area where, technically, it doesn't violate the TOS but, technically, you could still be banned depending on how you interpret said TOS.

Because team killing is unsportsman live behaviour & will affect your rep.

Constantly doing it on purpose could also lead to a suspension.

Doing it spoils other peoples enjoyment.
I know some games will ban you from Multiplayer for unsportsmanlike conduct but how does this lead to it affecting Xbox Live?

There's a discussion thread about Teamkilling from 2019 and I quote one of the responses there (albeit an Ambassador rather tahn someone from MS themselves):

"Team-killing is not really against the Xbox Live Code of Conduct; that is, it's not a bannable offense. It's very bad sportsmanship, no question, which is where the reputation system comes into play. Players who get reported for team-killing enough - and with telemetry to back up the assertion - will find their reputation diminished, to the point where they will only be matched against players of similar reputation."

Admittedly, the OP hasn't actually explained what has happened to their Xbox Live
