TB X42 Transmitter Issue

Hi all,

I've been using my TB X42 for months now, connected to my XBONE through the transmitter with USB and Optical, and all of a sudden, when I turned my console on last night, the transmitter will no longer draw power. I've tried unplugging the transmitter and
even putting it in different USB slots, but nothing. The headset continues to work fine--minus the fact that it won't get sound due to the transmitter not working.

I recently added an external HDD to the console via USB, so I thought it might be that, but it worked for more than a day with the HDD in anyway, so I'm not sure.

Do I need a new transmitter, or are there any suggestions? Thanks!

Latest Update Killed TB x42 Transmitter

After installing the latest update, my Turtle beach x42 transmitter is dead (does not turn on after being plugged in). I've heard of this problem before but have not experience it myself. Is there anything I can do or do I need to purchase a replacement?

Have you tried plugging into pc/laptop see if that powers it, I have the xp400 and 500x the transmitter seems to be the same as the x42, I have usb ports on my tv which powers it up I think the transmitter could be faulty if you can try what I suggested
that should tell you.

 

Thanks. I'll have a look at that once I get back home. That should hopefully tell me whether I need a new one or not.
