    Tax Rate


    Im trying to buy a giftcard for my nephew so that he can get a new game. I was just curious what the tax is when buying a digital game through the Xbox store. Is it whatever the local tax is or is there a set tax rate for all Xbox users? Any help would be

    That depends on what the tax rate is in California. Here in Canada the tax rate is 13%. So we would multiply 9.99x0.13 which would add an extra 1.30 to the price.

    Guys, the tax is different in different states/counties. There is no single sales tax rate.
