Taptiles causes HP Laptop to freeze when a challenge is starting

The 10 Nov 2014 Hard Challenge, caused my Laptop to freeze as soon as the advert had finished playing and I have also had the same problem when trying to play some of the Original Challenges.

When I look in Windows 8.1's Event Viewer, it does not give any details about the problem, so that I can post the error message.

Taptiles 8.1 issue AGAIN!

We have the same problem, Taptiles minimizes itself immediately on launch an HP Envy laptop. It was working, then stopped. This problem exists with both accounts on the Envy. Taptiles works fine on both accounts on an HP Pavilion. On my desktop, Taptiles
will not connect to Xbox, although other Xbox games work fine. All systems run Windows 8.1 All systems are current on Windows and application updates.

 

Does this happen every time you try the challenges? Any challenge or only specific ones?

Which model HP computer are you using? Can you post your system specs for review?

The Laptop I have is a Compaq CQ58 Notebook PC, which I have upgraded from Windows 8 to the latest version of Windows 8.1 via the Store App.

I find the problem mostly occurs when I have failed to clear all the tiles in the Sprint Match, Medium or Hard Sprint Challenge puzzle and I then go back and try solve the puzzle again. The problem occurs when the blue banner is dropping down the screen
after I have pressed the Play Button.

The problem started after the last update of Taptiles, because now when I press the large Original tile to go to a daily challenge game, the screen will go black for a second like the advert is going to start and then when I pressed the play button after
the puzzle has appeared, the blue bar would drop down and then the laptop froze.

I upgraded to laptop to Windows 8.1 a couple of months after it became available in the store and I then installed the latest version via Windows Update.
