Tap Tiles

Microsoft, what's going on? Not on a word on what progress has been made on straightening out the problems with Tap Tiles. A reply to all posted on the forum would be appreciated. I'm using a HP 17" TouchSmart laptap. I had upgraded to Windows 8.1 a
year ago. Tap Tiles workd fine until a few months ago. No error message. When I hit the icon, it seems to start loading, but comes back to the Start screen or goes to the logo on the desk top. I removed the game and re-installed it. Didn't help. Updating
it didn't help, either. This is my third message. Other people have written in multiple times, as well. Some feedback, please!

I downloaded this app. For some reason, download was ok, yet I received the message "installation pending" (progress 0%.)

Any ideas/solutions would be appreciated

This has been brought to the attention of the development team, and is being investigated.

 

It's been almost a year since this comment was posted and it doesn't look as if anything has been done to solve the problem. I still can't play the game and I've tried about everything. Even a tech at the Microsoft store tried to get it to open and stay
open so I could play the game but he too was unsuccessful. I know some people have been able to still use this game but it would be nice to understand why others can't including myself. It once worked but now it just crashes after you try and open it.

 

I had problems a couple of months back and after extensive reading and research I have got it running after a fashion. But I still have a problem in that the app has no picture as is used to and in fact some of my apps are just greyed out. all seems to stem
from the same time.

It is annoying though that nobody appears to monitor or reply to anybody in this forum. Those of us that bought the professional version must feel extremely neglected and for me I have to wonder if I ever would purchase again.

 

Can you share with us how you got it running again?

 

Bit of a story. when it stopped working I decided to delete the thing and then go to the store and download again. I'd start the download and then would be told I already owned the app. Then I noticed that other apps were not working and tried to download
them too. I ended up with a string of things that just sat there waiting to download and would not start. So I used a search engine and came across this link

I followed the instructions and found that at last I could download taptiles again. All the other apps worked too. So it was worth a try. This did it for me. Except that my browser app is still greyed out and I just cannot get that to work! So anything
is worth a go. You may just hit on the right answer for you. Good luck.
