Wow.

World of Tanks.

Much better than I expected.

Check this out if you haven't. You can throw money at it but from what I've seen so far, unlike most of the Free To Play stuff you shouldn't have to.

Tanks are Awesome! on this game..

BC2 tanks were much better,BF3 tanks are too easy to destroy with only 1-2 engi's and shells have very little splash damage for infantry.

 

Totally agree. I played the early beta but it seemed to take ages getting games and was a bit too limited.

The full version is fantastic. Very fast paced. It has that 'just one more game' factor that keeps you playing until the early hours. Love it.

 

Been playing it also and some fun. I used to play the PC version a few years ago but got tired of keyboard/mouse gaming.

Really surprised and disappointed that how limited the Xbox version is. Only 7 maps... only 3 countries of tanks??

Hopefully they'll start adding more maps along with other countries tanks.

This is such a small game. It's nothing to run on the 360. They plan to support this for a while and I can see them steadily increasing the nations as time goes on.

One handy thing for anyone who hasn't figured it out yet... If you leave a battle early, you still get all the rewards. So if you get one shotted by some twonk who bought premium ammo you can swap to your "spare" tank and have a quick game whle you wait
for the other one to finish itself off.

It's a good game and though I'm enjoying myself I'd love it if they made a game like this you could just buy without the shop rubbish.

It's all the rage with the kids nowadays.

Here's another handy "World Of Tanks" tip.

When you're in a match and you've got some French guy screaming, singing, shouting, playing music... (Don't know what it is about this game but it only seems to be the French who are doing this) you can see the offending party because their Gamertag wiill
be highlighted on screen to the right because they're the one making the noise...

Just hit the Menu button and use the "LB" button to access the player list. Highlight the offending player and then "X" will mute. You can quick mute in this game as quickly as in COD.

Another handy tip for this game... Use the map. Hit the Back Button at the start to quickly plan your route of attack. There are a lot of roads on the maps and they offer your tank the fastest travel speed.

Instead of heading straight for the flag you can often take a road off to the side that meanders round towards the enemy base, allowing you to potentially capture the base and get behind or end up flanking enemies.

It's a cracking game, but they missed a trick not releasing it on X1.

Mind you, I know they said they'd consider it if it does well on 360.
