If you only want to only talk to friend you need to join an existing friends part or start a party and invite your friends to that party as per the guide below.

And what if I want to play by myself on BO3, is there a way to talk but not let others hear? Like the Cortana app, you can access that in-game, but it still "puts" the voice on the game.

[/quote]BT don't own plusnet, they rent the network space from them and use the same equipment in the exchanges but use their own gateways that you connect through,Plusnet have much better network tools that do not work with BT broadband, such as seeing
what gateway you are connected to and being able to have a static ip address which BT will not give.

I had BT for years but decided to change to talk talk and been the best choise i have made they are cheaper and the connection is same. And never had a problem with them. I would go with talk talk miles cheaper and same connection speed. But its up to
you to decide because Talk Talk from my personnel point a view have been good.
