Taking Xbox 360 Slim overseas bricked my console twice

So, it's my 3rd xbox, all 360 slim, and for the second time, when I took the console overseas, first from USA to Brazil, and second from Brazil to Ireland (and used it with the appropriate power supply both times), the console became faulty after about 3
months of normal usage, and I had to pay microsoft for a refurbished replacement console. I am looking to get either a Xbox One os PS4, so, I have a few questions:

1) Am I just very very unlucky, or the xbox is just not supposed to be taken to another country?

2) If I buy the Xbox One, and again, go to Brazil and take it with me. Will it work there, for a more acceptable lifetime?

3) Can I get a 100-240v power supply with xbox one?

Anyone wanna get together and file a lawsuit against Microsoft for scamming us out of money?

I thought if the new dashboard update bricked your console you were able to get a new 250GB xbox 360 slim and a 12 month subscription card......if so, I feel sorry for you Wolf.

i have the 360 slim that i got from ms after their update bricked my original slim. haven't had a problem with it since i got it in june 2011

When you say you got the appropriate power supply, do you mean the power brick too or just the cable that goes from the wall to the power brick?

It sounds like you have just been unlucky. Being knocked around during transport could have been a factor. Ideally you would replace your console in each country (with the 360 at least) due to PAL vs NTSC. With Xbox One and region free games it should be
fine to take abroad.

The Xbox One and PS4 are in the same situation so if power supply is your deciding factor you are not going to have a clear winner.

I meant the actual brick. Brazil is 100-120v, and here in Ireland, 220-240v. When I got here, I got a replacement PSU from microsoft. I'm really willing to stay with xbox, but I'm just very concerned because of what happened to me in the past. My console

Anyway, neither of xbox one and ps4 will provide me warranty in Brazil right?

I see that the connector that goes into the xbox is a separate part from the brick. Can't I take the cable from my slim console and use it with the arcade brick? Like use an European psu(from an arcade console) with the cable that goes into the xbox(that
came with the slim console)?

Sounds like your power brick needs to see a doctor. Contact Xbox Support for an appointment

An Xbox 360 slim console and Xbox 1 console are suppose to be whisper quiet meaning it shouldn't create noise which bothers you (doesn't mean it will be silent).

My power brick is this loud:

.... that's how quiet it's suppose to be.

Explain the size of the power brick. To me it looks about the same size as the 360 Slim's one, maybe slightly bigger or smaller. And that the power brick is bigger than the one for my HP Pavilion dv6 PC. And that the console too is slightly bigger than the
360 slim. New technology in my opinion should mean the box be the same size or smaller than the 360 Slim. Sure it will have power modes and that it uses an 8 core AMD Jaguar APU, which is a low power architecture by AMD.
