Taking the XBox One Abroad

So I've been using US Xbox for nearly two years in the US now. It's on for hours each day and a big part of my life including games, but especially the other entertainment apps. But now I may be moving to England for a new job. I'd like to take it with
me, if at all possible. Can I bring the console and buy a new UK power cord? Will I be able to play my downloaded games? My account is a US account. I really don't want to start from scratch for obvious financial and gaming reasons. Thanks in advance for any
help or advice.

Wasted a weeks holiday

You ain't started nothing mate,it's just one or two individuals trying to derail your thread.

Nothing wrong whatsoever in taking a week off to do exactly what you want to do be it playing games,going abroad,going fishing,playing golf etc etc.

You (Microsoft) ban brought from abroad Xbox One if you recognize that it's running in not supported country (which you can find out from IP address it's connected from) OR it will not be banned, however, you will block ability to play games?

I would recommend contacting phone support to see about getting a proper power brick for your console to prevent power issues before heading out there.

The U.S. number is no good to someone if they are in the U.K.

Once you are in England you can contact support 0800 587 1102,which is a free number, & ask about a new power supply from them.

You would also need to change your region,details about that can be found here

Head over to Settings>Network. You can change your DNS settings from there. However, you will need to change the settings each time you turn the system back on as they will not stay.
