Taking Screenshots and Video's

Discus and support Taking Screenshots and Video's in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Whenever I try and take a 30 second video, by pushing the home button twice, it doesn't let me take a screenshot or video.     Taking Screenshots and Video's


    Whenever I try and take a 30 second video, by pushing the home button twice, it doesn't let me take a screenshot or video. What do I do?

    Taking screenshots

    I just say "xbox take a screenshot" with Kinect , should be a double tap on the home button then "Y" button....

    also Make sure 'Allow Broadcasts and game DVR uploads' is still checked in settings / preferences.

    Is this option gone? I've search YouTube but all videos are from March. Can someone please help.

    I cant take a screenshot or video

    To take a screenshot you should be able to double tap the Guide button then press Y. For a clip you can always double tap the Guide button and open an app then choose Game DVR. If you select End Clip you can record up the the last 5 minutes of game play.

    As for your current issue, have you tried power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps?

    And I do see that you have a Gold membership and do play online.

    Could be that you've turned of in game notifications, or that your hard drive is full. Also I believe you need to be online to use the feature and have a gold account.

    If you can check all those boxes then we can look at other options.

    To take screenshots you might need a capture card. You can take photos and videos on your Xbox and edit them on your computer.
