taking forever to install

Discus and support taking forever to install in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Bought disk on Saturday and has been stuck at 49% for the last 24 hours.     taking forever to install


    Bought disk on Saturday and has been stuck at 49% for the last 24 hours. Seems like the games are taking longer to install from disk these days. Anyone have any idea in what year I will be able to play the game? There needs to be a policy that installation
    should take no more than an hour, if that means put it on multiple disk then so be it!!! Oh and I have a 12mbs internet speed, which seems to be the national average.

    Game installs taking forever

    So i thought the issue was day one launch lag but trying a second game install today took 10minutes to hit 1% This is a disc install and should be much quicker than that. I did some searching and found a work around Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.
    This worked which is great, but is there a longer term fix or will i need to do this everytime i try to install a game

    Sorry to hear it. Odds are an update is hampering the install of the game from the disc. What you should try is to disconnect the console from the internet for the duration of the disc install then reconnect for any available updates.

    BF4 is taking forever to install

    Most apps can be snapped by saying "Xbox, snap <app>". You can unsnap by saying "Xbox, unsnap" and resume whichever full-screen activity you had. You can switch between your snapped app and your main app by pressing the Home button twice.

    Your BF4 install includes downloading an update, which will take up the bulk of the time and not reflect a high percentage of your installation percentage.

    yes BF4 takes a long time to install. I think I was able to play the campaign around 10-15% or so

    Installing games takes forever why ?

    Its the games patches that your installing that's what takes so long.

    You have to install the patches before you can play the game.
