    Taking an age to boot...


    Greetings,

    Since the change to the Metro interface my system now takes an age to boot to the dashboard, and with every update it gets a little longer.

    Anyone have any ideas about this or is it normal for it to take 4+ minutes to get to the dashboard after powering on the 360?

    Hey Broth32!

    Sorry to hear about this problem you're dealing with.

    Slow boot up could be something to do with a recent update maybe no completing the way that it should.

    That being the case, I would strongly suggest going about doing what we call a soft reset of your console to correct any software discrepancy that could be going down.

    It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

    Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your profie(asthey
    will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

    Also make sure that you select the option denoted
    reset and keep my games and apps.

    Taking a long time to boot

    For the past few days my xbox one is taking a long time to boot up. It takes approx 10 or so min min to finally boot... any suggestions?

    Console is off/standby but is saturating my upload

    Energy saving mode seems to fix it, but of course, the trade-off is it takes ages to boot.

    Same here tbh...

    Having to constantly log in and out to get games or apps to work...

    It takes an age to boot the console up now aswel..

    It's a total nightmare at the moment..

    I've just been booted from another game and lost connection, so obviously something is wrong, and also the stats and rewards screen takes ages to load, hopefully something will be sorted soon!

    this is the worst basketball game because of online play

    This game was problematic when I had my modem downstairs and was connected wirelessly. Well it runs better now that the modem is upstairs and I'm hardwired. But the occasional getting booted gets old, especially when you're playing with a friend and it
