System Updates - how to make them automatic 100% of the time

Unfortunately the auto update time is a preset time that MS chose to use and for me that's usually around 2AM which is nice that it's in the middle of the night but most games and console updates come through mid-morning or afternoon so that evening I
too have to wait on updates. You can go to https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxinsiders and make a suggestion or add to a thread already posted. I would love to have the option to chose my update time.

Your Xbox could be set to automatic downloads if it's set to instant on so could be checking for them and be the reason for it turning itself on at random times.

Like Kiranjd says, change it to energy saving mode and see how you get on.

you can make it update automatically this will stop you having to update just leave your xbox plugged in but on stand by and updates should be put on the system automatically

a lot of the times it is because you MAY have a bootleg hard drive and that scenario is VERY common with those drives an update makes them unusable and you have NO choice but to format the drive to continue. where did you guys get said drives if they came
with the system when the systems were bought new that is the only 100% way to tell they are not bootleg drives. and a bootleg drive loos almost 100% like a legit factory drive.

Try uninstalling the game and then reinstall it. Also, make sure you go to your Microsoft Store app and update the game's system update.

I have reinstalled several times and it does not work. In store, apps are updated automatically. What does game's system update mean?
